Mainsqueez: Have used this skillet four times now and find it’s easy to clean with just soap and water and a cloth. I like it. It heats up very quickly and I am noticing that the temperature runs hotter than the dialed in temp. (?). Not a problem, you just dial down. (I’m just saying that this is what I sense that it does...don’t know if that’s been proven). For me, not a problem at all. Happy with this skillet. My only real criticism is that the temperature dial is somewhat hidden behind the handle. You can access and read it OK, but it’s not out in clear view.

Diane H.: It looks great but barely 3 months later the pan is ready for the garbage bin. Ceramic is not the same as non-stick so a part of the pan where the element was hottest, discoloured after only a few uses. In order to be careful not to scratch it, I'm not able to scrub it like it needs to be.

Aside from cooking issues, the pan was accidentally dropped and the legs broke. Unfortunately, the only replacement part available was the lid. All in all, pretty disappointing.

leapdaybride: I have had this skillet for about a month now and I am extremely pleased with this purchase! Cooking with this skillet is a breeze, no sticking and NO TEFLON! It is a good size for family cooking. I find the temps are perfect and it cooks evenly. It is very easy to clean also and you can't beat the price!
I don't usually write reviews, but I almost didn't get this pan because of some negative reviews....I am so glad I didn't listen to them. This is just the pan I was looking for! I do a lot of cooking with it and have had excellent results every time, I love the ceramic coating, as I was looking for something without Teflon, Very Good Buy!

ACJ: It's summer time, and I don't like to heat up the kitchen unnecessarily. I have been using this skillet at least once a day for a couple of weeks. I don't use Teflon, so my regular cookware is stainless. This skillet gives an alternative non-stick option, and I love it! It's so great for skillet meals, but I have also cooked a bunch of other things in it. It's my new favorite skillet for scrambling eggs (no oil needed) and making sauces (again, the non-stick is a life-saver)! By far the best thing about this little beauty is how easy it is to clean! I use natural fiber sponges, and wiping this down with a wet one (or paper towels if you use those) is enough to have it ready for the next use. I keep it right on the counter because it's used so much.

I haven't noticed hot spots in it (I also have the griddle, and it's wearing out quickly with a hot spot right in the middle and food often uncooked on the edges). I use wooden spoons with this, but the finish would probably hold up with very light use of my stainless utensils. The one thing I don't care very much for is the matte finish on the outside of the skillet. It's not a big deal, but when my fingernail hit it the other...

AET: This pan is very handy for cooking just about anything in! Just a few things to note:

1) It is a healthy non-stick pan, which normally just needs to be wiped clean with a (paper) towel. However, it can stain. If it does, all you have to do is let it cool then scrub it thoroughly with a washcloth or soft sponge, maybe even with a little soap. No stain has permanently "stuck" so far.

2) It heats up really hot really fast, then kinda cools and maintains for a while. This is great for cooking something really fast, not as nice for keeping something warm for extended periods of time (couple hours).

3) You don't need to cook things as high as you do on regular skillets. When I had a regular stainless steel skillet, I mostly cooked things around 300-350 degrees. In this pan, I normally use 220-270 degrees. Just FYI.

I am very pleased with this pan, and would definitely buy other products by this brand.

Ken: It takes about 8 min to heat 1qt of cold tap water to boiling.
The cord is very short so you need a nearby electrical plug.
The counter top gets warm but not hot.
The moisture condenses on the top and when you remove it much of the water will run off. You will need to tilt the top over the skillet to drain the water back into the skillet. Otherwise it will be on the counter. While this is true for every pot it seems a bigger issue for a skillet. (I'm not sure why.)
A skillet does not have fine control over temperature. At least none of the ones I've ever seen. If this is what you need you will be disappointed. This type of appliance heats a ring at the bottom and will be hotter over the element than elsewhere. (True for all such skillets.) Is this one better or worse than others? I don't know.
If you have something flat and want to cook it evenly .... such as a pizza or frozen lasagna ... this is the wrong appliance.
I have seared strips of meat over the ring, but not as well as I can on a stove.
Yes it is a bit limited.

The top is glass so you can see what is going on.
