Pagegrrrrrl: These lentils reach heights I didn't realize a legume could inspire to. They have a very complex, almost smoky taste. I used half the bag to make a simple lentil soup that beat every other lentil soup I've ever had -- even ones served in restaurants. I look forward to using the second half of the bag for another round of soup made exactly the same way. (I only wish these were a little cheaper -- I'd buy them in bulk if possible.)

Steve M: For whatever reason, stores in my area were all out of red lentils, so I gave this a shot. Next day delivery and all that. They came in a vacuum-sealed rectangular pouch, about the size of a fireplace brick. No complaints from me about the product once I cut it open, made some fine soup.
