Wyvern30: We add it to desserts and oatmeal. I hate oatmeal and this makes it a yummy treat!

Amutham: The media could not be loaded.  Very bitter but it means no sugar added. Safer for diabetics.

#AskMissPatience: If you care for sweet chocolate these are not for you.

I bought two variety of nibs to try.

I like the texture and nutritional value. But they taste like coffee grounds are kinda plain.

When I use them in cocoa they mellow. And remind me of steel-cut oats. I'm guessing these aren't for drinks 🤔

In oatmeal and waffles these are delicious. In the oatmeal also add hazelnut syrup. Grown up oatmeal 😊

Recipe: Oats, cocoa nibs, walnut pieces, chia seed, golden flax milled, cut-up frozen berries like cranberry or blueberry. Prefer frozen because they taste juicer when cooked in Belgium waffles and pancakes.

Similar ingredients for Belgium waffles. I use an organic mix or Kodiak. Just add water for either. Use a tablespoon of Apple sauce in place of oil.

Plain the taste isn’t for me. But added to products find the texture interesting and an added texture I like.

The most unique new ingredient I’ve ever tried.

If you’re looking for a tiny cocoa bits that are sweet tasting. This is not for you.

If you’re open to trying a new nutritional option that has a unique quality to add variety to cooking options this...

Igor B: First time experience of trying Cacao Nibs
Received package in 7 days from the day of purchase. (ordered on 5th Feb 2015) The package of Nibs itself (all four of them in one order) had some problem with resealable package part, so I couldn't seal it after opening and needed to put all Nibs to another container.
About the Nibs it's hard to compare with any other same products, but in comparison with Dark Chocolate 90% i prefer good quality Dark Chocolate 90% because it feels more bitter and chocolate on taste than those Chocolate Nibs. I'm just sharing my first impression about this product. Even if I stay with Dark Chocolate in the future, it was interesting to try those Cacao Nibs though :-)
I'm still happy with them because they are organic and have good nutrition with a lot of fiber and protein and zero sugar.

Joshua G. Feldman: I'm a certified chocoholic with a weight problem. I had heard that cacao nibs had all the health benefits of dark chocolate (way more, actually) without the sugar and junk food aspects. They are loaded with antioxidants and have those powerful endorphin releasing stimulants. They are also quite high in fiber (but also in saturated fats).

I got my big pile of Navitas Naturals nibs and dug right in. Well - these are a bit of an acquired taste; but once acquired, they really satisfy. Cacao nibs are broken pieces of raw whole cacao beans that have been fermented and dried (and that's it). They are brown, with a dark cocoa smell, and a seductive texture that's partly like a coffee bean (crunchy and hard), and partly like a piece of chocolate (buttery with a crisp and then melting fat). The flavor initially gives you a cocoa hit and then a winey fermented flavor that is hard to describe. The aftertaste is bitter like baking chocolate. Like a coffee bean, there's some fibrous grit with the aftertaste after the creamy fats have dissolved on your tongue. My first impressions was "phew - that's disgusting". The winey flavor was off-putting and the bitterness in the aftertaste was...
