Alyxia: The stuff will turn hard as a rock if exposed to the air. You need to put it in another bag around the one it comes in with a desicant and then put that in an airtight plastic container.

JaeMae: I got this in an attempt to replicate delicious malted milkshakes in a lactose-free recipe. Grocery store malt for milkshakes is made with milk products. This is pure malt. I wasn’t sure if it would work but it does, tastes exactly like the malted milkshakes of my youth. I make ice cubes from lactose-free milk or oat milk, and combine them in a blender with LF or oat milk, adding dry mix of equal parts organic sugar, dry cocoa powder and this dry malt. Delish!

Preston: This light malt extract worked perfect for making agar plates. Fast growth and very easy inoculation into liquid culture or grain spawn once the mycelium grows out a bit. Since this is made from grain, the mycelium takes to grain spawn a lot faster than other agar methods I've used. You can also use this product to make liquid culture, so it's a 2 for 1. I highly recommend this product.
Make sure you store it in a cool dry place. I poured mine into an airtight Rubbermaid container and I haven't had an issue with humidity or contaminates getting into my malt extract.
