Nutri-Vet Anti-Diarrhea Liquid: A Digestive Aid for Cats

Sushi Cat: My 2 year old cat has had odd soft/puddle poop every few months or weeks. I've taken her to the vet, done stool samples, changed to all wet food, pro-biotics, given her anti-biotics..odd poo always seems to come back. In the past I had to battle holding her down and giving her meds through a syringe. She was miserable. I was miserable and most likely 1/3 of the meds just end up on my shirt or her fur. We were cleaning up poo messes as she had blotches on her bottom which she sometimes blotted all through the floors when she sat before we noticed in the mornings. The whole family was stressed out each time she started an instance of soggy poop.

Then I found this. I mix it into my cat's wet food. At first I was still afraid she wouldn't eat it because she smelled something different in her food. I put some liver probiotics powder on top the first couple days and she ate it all up. Now, I no longer need to chase her down to try to give her a syringe of yucky meds. Whenever I see a little softening of her poo I immediately start giving her a dose in the morning and night. Usually within a couple days, her poop is back to normal. Phillip Jones: The Nutri Vet product only called for a half teaspoon for a 1 to 12 lbs. cat, other products called for a full teaspoon. A half a teaspoon is actually a lot to give a cat through a syringe. The taste was not unfavorable. I was not a fan of the original Kaopectate products which was taken off the market in this country and changed to a different formula. In all due honesty I have to say this product worked. I was dealing with a pregnant cat which was having serious bouts of diarrhea.

Amanda: Thought we'd give this a test run on our cat and hasn't made any change, I think the only change it's made is pissed off my cat more trying to make her take this..offering no return policy is bs also.. garbage product.

S: Update: The last order was thin as water, where as the previous orders were thick. Also, it is not working. We have to find the same product, or an alternative, locally. Hopefully it will work.

First Review: We have one cat who has irritable bowel syndrome. I thought we would have to put her down, it was so bad. We were feeding her Taste of the Wild Cat food.

The vet put her on expensive prescription cat food, which she happily ate. For two days, she threw up everytime she ate it. I found out Taste of the Wild had started making a limited ingredient cat food, Prey. Luckily we found a local supplier.

The vet had also had us start giving her liquid Vitamin supplement with B12, because IBS prevents her body from being able to absorb B12. The lack of B12 perpetuates the IBS. For her B12 supplement, we use Pet Tinic.

We luckily figured out, by trial and error, that this anti diarrhea product, mixed with her Pet Tinic B12, stopped her IBS pooping episode.

This whole adventure with our cat's IBS started in 2013. Her name is Turbo. She was once destined to die young, at only 4 years old. She is now 12 and doing fine.
