christian haché: Theses filters will work for XFWE but you need to peel off the label off the original one and put it over this one as the original label contains an RFID label. Many online tutorials.

Hmmmm: I loved this filter, water tasted clean. Also, I watched a YouTube video of a guy doing water tests to see which filter truly removed toxins and water drip was the top rated filter so I was excited to get mine. I read the reviews that said this filter does fit a GE Refrigerator & replace the XWFE filter. Well the filter did fit and the water worked, but my ice maker did not work at all since using this water drip filter. But I didn't return it, I just kept using the filter. Then last week I get the "Expired" warning light that it's time to change the filter and it's only been 4 months. So that's bit of a bummer. But I think I will need to go back to GE filters to see if that'll make my ice maker work again.

Menah JaneMenah Jane: The WATERDROP (XWF) WD-F48 WATER FILTERS  3-pack arrived in a timely manner, individually wrapped in plastic and  packed in a brown cardboard box.  Each of the three water filters is true to size and offers good filtration for the money.   Online information gives the filtration capabilities.

The filters are cylindrical with a turning handle at one end and two projecting wedges at the other.  They measure 2.25 inches in diameter by 6.13 inches. These filters are exact replacements for factory branded filters.  Instructions are located online and in the refrigerator manual.  The degree of filtration required is dictated by the water source.  This filter is an intermediate grade and useful where there are minimal pesticides and industrial chemicals. 

This is a good value for someone who needs an intermediate capability filter for a larger GE refrigerator.
