HaleyK: The picture is deceiving. I expected a cane with a white handle and a black base. However, the whole cane is black. The all black look is fine except the plated black on the base was already scratched off in spots revealing the basic metal underneath upon arrival. I desperately needed a cane after switching from a walker. I am recovering from a broken patella, and do not have time to worry about exchanging this one for another. For the price I can deal with these flaws. Overall, the cane works well for me now that I learned how to properly walk with it, and I enjoy having a free hand now as opposed to using a walker. I just wish it didn't look so used before I even took it out of the box.
