Ella Belle: I bought a pair of these SureFire EP5 Sonic Defenders Max Full-Block Earplugs, triple flanged design, reusable for my Husband, in the size medium, color orange, 26dB.

My Husband uses a lot of different Earplugs, Earmuffs, and other Hearing Protection.
He has tried using these 26dB, SureFire EP5 Sonic Defenders several times now, but he really does not like these at all.
For one, he said these are NOT any good if used by themselves, for shooting ANY shotguns! He shoots 12 gauge, 20 gauge and occasionally, his old .410-bore shotgun.
For the rest of our guns, these again are a BIG NO NO, if only used by themselves, except they are OK for the .22 rifles.

My husband is a retired auto & small engine mechanic. He still does a lot of machine work in his shop. He said these 26dB Earplugs are also NOT protective enough to use by themselves, at least for him, in his shop.

These 26dB Earplugs are OK to use for the lawn mower, weed whacker and for various smaller chainsaws.

Also, my Husband said these 26dB Earplugs work fairly well when he has to trim his dog's nails because she always starts yipping and griping like you are killing her as soon as she...

Duldej: Bought for use @ shooting range.
Noise cancelling earmuffs did not suffice on their own.
One of my ears ordinarily rejects earplugs of any kind so I was not sure about these until they arrived.
The design of this model is such that the plug portion grips the interior part of your outer ear. The result is that they do stay in. I chewed gum while wearing and they did, indeed stick.
Have not tested them @ range yet but the sound cancellation tested at home is significant.
Plan to wear muffs & these plugs together, as they are flush on head and will, indeed, fit. Do not foresee any problems.

Update:
I used these plugs with the same earmuffs, in combination, and the noise cancellation was perfecto. Highly recommend!

B. C. Hawley: These are the best earplugs that I've found that block enough sound and are comfortable enough to wear all day on a construction site. They fit snugly in the ear canal and the fins help hold them in place even better.

The only real downsides are that, first, they can be a little difficult to get into your ear canal, but I've found that to be true with nearly all earplugs and, second, that they do build up ear wax under the little rubber flanges which is kind of gross but, again, common with this style of plug and it's easy enough to clean them up. Overall they are great and the little plastic carrying case makes them convenient to always have on hand.

【追記】二ヶ月間，睡眠時に使用しました。
近所の騒音はもちろん，生活リズムが違う家族の生活音にも効果的です。
おかげで安眠を手に入れることができました。
子供の頃に経験した寝起きのすっきり感がよみがえりました。

奥に押し込みすぎると翌朝耳が痛くなることがあるので，ほどほどの位置が良いです。
浅くても遮音効果はあるので大丈夫。
体調によって奥が蒸れることがありますが，時間が経つと治ります。

あと左右の結束する紐がついているので紛失しないのも助かります

お手入れは，ポリマー樹脂なのでぬるま湯で洗うだけ。
※樹脂なのでアルコールはやめたほうが良さそうです。

Original Canadian: These ear plugs are great for small ears like mine =) I've ordered the mediums and the wings fit better around the ear but not in. The smalls are a lot easier to fit inside my ear and I can get them in faster too. With the mediums it's a fight. The only child sized ear plugs I can find (the regular ones ALWAYS fell out) are for swimming which doesn't help for sleeping. It sucks to constantly buy these online but I've been using these for easily half a year so I'm satisfied that someone finally made an ear plug for small adult ears like mine. After at least 6 months of use, here's my opinion on these ear plugs:

PROS:

1) They fit small adult sized ears like mine. Regular ear plugs that you can buy in the store always fell out for me because they're too big for my ear canal so I wear these small ones. The wings don't fit as well as the mediums but I can get the smaller sized ones to fit inside the ear a lot faster and without a hassle, unlike the medium ones.

2) They will block out most noise for sleepers and especially graveyard workers like myself, which is especially important in the summer time when the kids are out playing when you're trying to...

Colin Duff: Sounded like good protection at first, but once my ears got more sensitive to the quieter sounds they seemed lighter of an ear plug than I expected. These are very comfortable.

However, I can hold conversations with people if I leave them in and I know it’s blocking out a fair amount of harm. I’m often moving in and out of loud volumes, to quiet office spaces. These are working well for what I wanted. I can hear people shuffling around, I answered a phone and while it was quiet, I could still hear them.

- - - HARSH SOUNDS - - -
Intensely loud high frequency whistling from compressed air blowing that make your ears ring after just 2 seconds is not an acceptable muffled human whistle sound… This is the sound I was most concerned about blocking out. Other harsh sounds like heavy metal pieces and banging are no longer uncomfortably loud or shocking. These take out the painful top end of the sounds. If I was exposed to these sounds all day, I’d most likely for a 30db or more, just for the peace of mind. But otherwise, these do very well.

They are more comfortable than I thought they would be, which I’m obviously very happy...
