I recently purchased the NOCO Boost XL GB50 1500 Amp 12-Volt UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starter Box, and it's been a game-changer in my life. Not only is it a fantastic emergency tool, but it's also become my trusty companion on road trips and outdoor adventures. My boyfriend and I can't get enough of this small yet powerful device.
The first thing that caught our attention was its compact and portable design. Tech: I have 2 vehicles and don't drive that often, being disabled. My Infiniti hadn't been driven in, or started, in over a year. I had another jump starter that I would have to use the full power button a few times to get it to start. After the jumper went dead, I got the GB50. One full power shot and the Infiniti started right up after a year of being dead. It didn't even deplete a notch off the GB50's battery.
And if your battery is completely drained, in takes about 4 days of regular driving to fully recharge it. It may start on its own, but isn't fully recharged yet. So when someone else said to drive for 30 mins to fully charge your battery, that's incorrect. 30 mins may get it to where your vehicle may start on its own, but it's not fully recharged.
I also bought the hard case for it. Much better than the nylon bag. The case keeps it safe from drops, has a handle, and more importantly... Keeps all the accessories locked in so they don't spill out of the bag. Unfortunately the GB50 doesn't come with an outlet plug to charge it. You either have to buy it separately, use a cell phone charger, or plug it into a computer or surge protector that has a USB port. The...

How often did you forget to turn off the interior lights? For how long did you not drive only to find out your car would not start? I lost count. My family, coworkers, strangers, and I all had that happen before, and when it did:
- Was a jump start cable available?
- Was anyone available to lend their car to power yours up with?
- Did you know how to jump start a car?
- Did you have a AAA membership, and did you have time to wait for a technician to arrive and help?
My dad bought me a battery-operated jump start kit decades ago when I was in college. It was large and constantly lost its charge. Technology had changed since and small, powerful batteries now exist that can start a vehicle as large as a truck.
