S.: I thought the price was a little high as compared to its competitors but the reviews seemed decent so I bought two so I could use my existing power adapter to plug into the Apple MagSafe wireless charging pad for the new iPhone which only comes with a USB-C connector and my existing power adapter only has USB-A connectors.

When the first one did not work, I was glad I bought two, thinking the first one may be defective but when the second one also did not work, then I knew there was a problem. I went back to the Amazon site and re-read what Nimaso posted but found nothing that said it would NOT work with the Apple MagSafe wireless charging pad. Only through doing an internet search did I find out that it does NOT. Then I found a couple of Amazon reviews that also said it did not.

Nimaso's Amazon ad says..."【USB C to USB Adapter】This is a USB C Female to USB Male Adapter, used to turn all you USB-A ports of laptops, chargers, or other devices into a USB-C port, gives you the ability to connect USB-C peripherals to devices with USB-A ports". Do you see the word "chargers"? Well, take it lightly as it excludes Apples MagSafe wireless changing pad. I have several...

Dakota B.: Every once in a while, you get an amazing product that blows your expectations out of the water. This is one of them.

First, let's start with the build quality. This little USB-C TO USB 3 is built different. Its one solid manufactured peice of metal. If you wanted to bend this thing, you would need pliers. Trust me, I have ripped this thing from laptop to desktop much harder than I'd like to admit and it doesn't look a day out the box. In short, its metal, not plastic.

Don't need to say much about the price because you can't find one for less.

Here was the icing on the cake. I bought this to allow seamless connection from my docking station to my desktop. I also use multiple external M.2 NVMEs that are plugged into the docking station. Now what If I told you that the write speeds and read speeds were somehow faster with the adapter than without. Yeah, idk either. Especially since I have a Razer Black Widow Elite, Basilisk Ultimare Wireless, and a 300ft Cat5e plugged into it at the same time.

All in all, if you think you have a better converter/adapter, you are a liar.

Shopper in Austin: I have a docking station and two 24 inch monitors that came with three cables, a USB C to USB C, and a USB C to USB A, and another cable. My laptop has a USB A 3.0 connector, but not a USB C connector. Since I lost my USB C to USB A cable, I debated in getting a replacement cable. I thought I'd give it a shot to find an adapter instead. This adapter works well with the USB C/USB C cable. Initial start up seems slow (probably my laptop trying to detect the adapter), then it starts to work at a good speed and I cannot tell that I'm using an adapater on my cable. So I highly recommend this little adapter in place of yet another cable lying around.

Felix Margadant: I made bad experiences with the subcompact USB A 3.0 to USB C adapters. They are relatively slow and very easy to lose.

Then I had the UGREEN models with the same form factor as this model and they absolutely rocked but UGREEN changed the form factor for the next generation and now they are hard to transport and actually slower.

This product makes no excessive claims, is nicely manufactured, and works with all disks I have. My only complaint is that it is nearly 50% more expensive than products or indistinguishable performance.

I'd repurchase this one in a heartbeat, if it was for sale.

Carjam1206Carjam1206: Purchased this adapter on May 20 to use with my iPad Pro and just getting around to using it today. I am so disappointed because it does not work. When I plug my iPad into the adapter and then into my computer, my iPad indicates that it is not charging. Wish I had tried to use this earlier because the return window has closed and now this is a worthless piece of junk to me.

October 19 Update: After reading my review, the seller reached out to me to let me know that they reported my case to their products developers and got an answer for my problem. I was informed that I could transfer data by connecting this adapter to my computer but because the power output of some of the computers’ USB interface is insufficient, l would not be able to charge my iPad and it would display “not charging” which is exactly what happened to me. In order to use this adapter, I had to purchase a charger with an output of 5V/2.4A which can charge normally. I am now able to charge my iPad with the new charger that I purchased without any problems.
