TowelinatorTowelinator: I just pulled this out of the box and immediately took it to the woods. I am really impressed for the price I paid. I rated everything 4 simply because this is not a "high end" or "custom fabricated" tool and it had some minor issues, but it was what I hoped for for the price.

I backpack often, so combination tools help me minimize tools and save weight. This effectively replaces my hatchet for fires and protection, pocket shovel for digging (bathroom/fire pit), leatherman for cleaning fish and fixing things around camp, backup fire, whistle (very loud) for emergencies, and compass. I will likely leave out the knife/barrel attachment as I simply prefer my leatherman, but I would have no problems trusting this knife in the woods for anything I would need to use it for (cleaning fish, cutting paracord, cutting fabric, etc...).

Positives
I immediately tested out of the box to see if I could trust it in the woods. Without sharpening or any lock tite, I cut through a 3 inch branch in under two minutes without breaking the branch (cutting all the way through all 3 inches). It was impressively sharp, the angle was good for cutting, it feels solid...

J-G-W: Bought for light use on a camping trip. Tried cutting some (small) wood for a fire and the axe head got loose almost immediately. It can be tightened with allen wrenches, but that's not something I carry on a camping trip. It still worked, but not as well.

It's relatively light weight. The grip can cause blisters, and the axe is just moderately sharp. Finally, I couldn't get the flint-rod compartment open while camping. Needed pliers when I got home. Guess I overtightened it...

Buckeye: I am completely satisfied with the ax and all it's components, with the exception of the sheaths. The stitching began to fail within a few uses. I have since replaced the stitching with stronger nylon thread and the sheaths are holding up now. Easy fix.
