This M48 Tactical Tomahawk Axe is the perfect camping axe or hatchet for convenience, build quality, giftability, and overall satisfaction. It features a stainless steel blade that offers maximum sharpness and durability, a nylon reinforced handle for a comfortable grip, and a 15-inch long blade for maximum coverage. Whether you’re looking for a gift or a reliable camping tool, this axe is sure to meet your needs.Aaron C Fisher: These are great looking, super sharp, and feel great in the hand. But I broke the fine tip off of it immediately testing it out. Possibly a little too sharp and not so durable.

Lauren F: Great value for price, husband has used it a lot while hunting! He says he likes it and would recommend it!

Mitch L.: This is fun little Hawk. This is my first one, and it is quite easy to get the hang of throwing. The point and tip of the blade are very sharp, so I would make sure to be very careful when using this, but that is expected. I've hit the handle many times and it still stands up to the challenge. I would suggest this to anyone interested in a reasonable priced Hawk.

The DudeThe Dude: Compared to my trench hawk the M48 is a light weight. That just happens to be just what I was looking for. A light smaller hawk to be the alpha to the beta condor jungle bowie. Both are not heavy but nimble and work well together. My other combination is the cold steel trench hawk and cold steel chaos tanto. The weight really goes up with those two.
But back to this hawk. I would not say it is for heavy abuse like breaking bricks and tearing down steel vault doors. Jumping buildings in a single bound and all the other superman stuff some people try to put it through. You know you guys, The ones that use a nice katana to cut a tree down....or a cheap katana,,,dude,,,get an ax or buy a saw, GEESH. Use the items for what they are intended for and if you need a crowbar...well, that is why they make crowbars. In my opinion this is a light weight defensive tool. It is nowhere in the ugly beast category the cold steel trench hawk is in. That trench hawk is tough as it looks, wicked mean looking, and will hold up to much more abuse the m48 would. And for about the same price. All I am saying is if you pick the tool for the job, you will be much happier and not writing unhappy...

Here is my first totally "tacticool" post in a while. I have shown you some axe-love in the past, and even debunked a cancelled product post and flirted with some serious and lustful objects but haven't really gotten up close and personal with the smaller choppers, till now!
This piece of bad-assed pointy is the
M48 Kommando Ranger Hawk Axe from United Cutlery. I had seen this advertised on ThinkGeek, and loved the look of it, and for the price, was willing to grab one to mess with. ThinkGeek have changed their shipping conditions however and this as well as many other of their tool and cool items no longer ship to Australia. I don't know if this from their end or ours, but I was denied! I hate that. I managed to find alternate means of securing my item, via a well known ordering service named after a large South American river system. This too was not without issue, and following once cancellation, I managed to secure myself a chopper!
This head of this piece is "precision" cast 2Cr13 stainless steel, and features a wide bearded cutting edge, which sweeps downwards nicely, and has a very smooth geometry to its edge. The topside of the head has been...

Buyer: This is the first tomahawk I have bought and so far and very pleased with it. It is a mean looking tomahawk and it feels great in the hand. I haven't actually used it yet, however it feels very solid and I am sure it would stand up to quite a beating. The fit and finish was decent, although not perfect as there were a few scratches and what not here and there, but for $45 it's pretty easy to forgive. Sharpness on the head of the hawk wasn't great out of box, there is an edge it just isn't very sharp on the one I received. However I'm sure it would be easy enough to get it very sharp if desired. Back spike is nice and pointy, and very aggressive looking.
This is also the first time I ordered from Amazon.ca and am very pleased with how fast the shipping was. I live in Eastern Canada and it only took about four days to arrive. That is fantastic especially considering the shipping was free, something that is very hard to come by on other websites when you live in Canada. I will definitely be ordering from Amazon.ca again in the future.
Overall I would recommend the M48 tomahawk, for the price would be hard to go wrong. Thanks Amazon!
