Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez Legal Thriller: Final Out

Wiley: Not the best in the series but clearly a step up from the last novel of this author that I read.

The characters are well drawn and the plot moves along at a nice pace. There are no loose ends to this story. I did find the premise to be a bit weak with the DA aggressively pushing a case based on circumstantial evidence and shoddy police investigation.

David & Kathy B.: Daley and all his helpers do it again. It's a good story with a good plot. The ending turned out to be different than what I was expecting, but it was good.

Henri IVHenri IV: Final Out and Last Call are almost the same book. I think that parts were even copy-and-pasted. Perhaps Mr. Siegel intended Last Call to be his last book, but then realized that he still had strength for at least two more, so he wrote a new version.

iwsh: Having read all of Sheldons books I think he is a fantastic entertaining author who keeps the action going. There is minimal waffle and drawn out passages , his characters are believable and the plots realistic.

Sylvia E. Edwards: To be perfectly honest, the format of all the books in the series is pretty much the same, but the relationship between the characters, and the very realistic dialogue make every book delightful.
I hope Mr. Siegel is working on another, I’m sad to have come to the last one.

Ellen Oceanside: Another winner in this good series, the plot flowed as was the details of looking for evidence. The court trial was well done and kept one’s interest of what the outcome would be. He gives background of the characters that are like family as we read. The memories mention we also recall in previous books. It is rich with the love of family and ties to the community. Enjoyed and looking forward to next one.

RARowland, Cincinnati reviewer: There are few authors that I read and give a “5” star rating to their books. Sheldon Siegel is one.
I have read thirteen of his books (“The Terrorist Next Door” is not a Mike Daley book).
I’m glad to say that he and I have conversed several times over the years, plus, he always makes me aware when a new book is in the offing. Hence, “Final Out” is now in the read column, along with the eleven others.
Although this is a review of “...Out), I really consider it more a review of Mr. Siegel himself.
As a law school graduate, I continue to welcome the opportunity to brush up on my love for the Law of Evidence and Criminal Procedure from reading this author’s books.
I don’t re tell story lines in my reviews, so anyone hoping to get the Cliff Notes version of this read from me will be sorely disappointed…. but what an ending!!
Sheldon Siegel writes like what I think. When Mike Daley asks a question of a person of interest, but doubts the veracity of the answer he gets, he says “sure” to himself using italics and parentheses, and I think “sure” to myself in those times too.

Mr D Patrick: A continuation of the Daley/Fernandez family story. I like the way Sheldon continues developing everybody’s roles as well as introducing new family members, therefore allowing for the continuation of the series.
An excellent read, as usual, from this brilliant author.

Legal Thriller Reader: I love legal thrillers, San Francisco, and baseball. So, I’m a happy man because “Final Out” touches all the bases.

In Sheldon Siegel’s latest Mike Daley/Rosie Fernandez novel, our favorite lawyers/ex-spouses defend a man accused of killing a high-end sports agent with a Louisville Slugger in the shadow of the Giants’ ballpark.

Hendo 2: From page one of The Final Out, I was hooked! As usual it was an amazing and entertaining storyline and just so well written by Sheldon Siegel. Having read every one of his books I look forward to the next Mike and Rosie courtcase and family dynamics stories. Excellent.
