Darkhorse: Perfect size for average sized kitty. It will work fine for my needs for a low cost. The carrier snaps together easily but be sure to secure the parts correctly. There are small parts that can be removed from the outside of the carrier and pose chocking hazard. There are through holes where the carrier snaps together that zip ties or small bolts could be used to double up the strength if you have a tough angry critter.

Sillibean: Easy to put together, sturdy, and easy to clean. We bought them for our cats to use while moving. They proved MUCH easier to clean up pet messes during viewings (we took the cats with us in the car) than the fabric bag carriers which proved to be impossible to clean. Would buy again.

christanchristan: The media could not be loaded.  These are very durable and are way cheaper in price than most name brand carriers. They work great for cat and rabbits. The handle withstands the weight of the animal, easy to take apart for animal access and to stack multiple for storage. Really like the easy to remove door. I was worried at first because it doesn’t come with clips for the back/sides like most but these slide and lock into place has clips only in the in the front. I have 3 and so far they are my favorite carriers.

EmilyEmily: We purchased this carrier to save a kitten we found on the side of the road. It’s not the most sturdy, but it fits our medium cat as well. For vet trips and moving it works great. Great price too!

This is a super basic plastic crate that is a fair size for toy dogs. It is all-plastic with a metal cage door. Build quality is average and not fantastic for the money. You can get an all-metal collapsible cage for around this price too. I chose plastic because of its light weight and portability.

The top red half just "snaps" to the bottom with mere 2 twistlock buttons. I dont feel like this is very secure because these snaps dont feel snug. I end up holding the bin with a hand on the bottom. I dont know why it is engineered so loosely.

The inside isnt flat. just exposes the mold of the shape of the bottom of the bin. It wouldve been nicer to have had a flat base for the puppy. Also the packaging is poor as it puts a tap on the bottom to hold the manual. Well why? The tape leaves a residue and doesnt cleanly come off so now i need rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky tape. Come on!

It does NOT come with a shoulder strap but it does have a cheap plastic loop that again isnt held up well. The two strap loops are also plastic and just get inserted loosely into two holes. Any weight on this loop,...

TiphyTiphy: *update* It has been over a year since we started the rescue, and despite loads of wear and tear, and sterilizing, the carriers we got at the beginning are still going strong. The reasons why we love these carriers and they’re the only one on our wishlist remains the same!

I have gone back and read some of the reviews, and I feel like there is one important note.

There have been a lot of people mentioning issues with the doors, and one of our fosters experienced that. We had her bring it back to switch it out, but we noticed that one of the little “doorknobs” was not seated properly. They have to be pushed all the way in or everything won’t align properly.

I own a cat rescue so I do a lot of things that require the use of carriers. We LOVE these. Of course we get donations of carriers and things, but those we adopt out with our cats and kittens, and these we specifically buy and request on our wish list! They are fantastic!

Why we love them so much:

1) Because the doors come off easily. I will often leave carriers with blankets laying around for vet transport...

GetkyleGetkyle: My cat carrier is the larger, 22 inch model - as compared to the 19 inch model. Listed dimensions: 20.70L x 13.22W x 14.09H.
Before purchasing, I saw some reviews claiming flimsiness. I disagree. My 20 pound cat was very secure and comfortable in this carrier. Before using it for him, I put 25 pounds of goods into the carrier and toted it around. If I could, I would have put a sturdier handle. I don't think it was going to bend with 25 pounds of weight, but it was sort of getting to its upper limit of strength, I sensed. But other than that, it was rock solid.
I drilled holes in it for adding zip ties - but that was unnecessary. The box is designed with two zip tie holes along he back, but nowhere else. The reason for this is when assembling, the top clam shell attaches to the bottom with offset teeth (see photo, taken from underneath) they are all over the perimeter, so all you have to do is mate up the teeth, then slide the top to lock it to the bottom.
There are so many teeth that the connection is entirely secure. The zip ties prevent the clam shells from BACK SLIDING!
So add two zip ties, but there is no need to drill more holes like I did. I thought the original...
