Christine: My cat was getting older and needed quite a few vet visits. The vet makes him nervous and sometimes he soiled the carrier. With it being fabric and mesh it was super easy to clean. Its' more comfortable to carry than a hard case.

peter 2022: I ordered the purple large carrier for my small cat - 6 lbs. I measured the carrier with her old one, knowing that the height dimension of the Sherpa was shorter in height than her old one. Even with the measurements and a large, the height measurement was quite a bit shorter than expected. However, the color is nice, the quality is excellent and I am happy overall. So quality takes precedence for me.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I flew on JetBlue on April 4, 2021 to Miami from NYC. The carrier was slightly bigger than their specifications but at check-in, the agent did not check so I said nothing and boarded. Case was perfect and my 16- month old, 18 lbs shih Tzu was comfortable and had extra space. Please note I did book an extra space seat. The case was fine from pictures and was out a bit but agents didn’t say anything so long my feet were cleared and can sit freely on ground which you can see from pics. I did notice that JetBlue has their life vests under seat and it hangs so it prevented my carrier from going into space so that is really not fair for them to do b/c even with their restrictions, their vests prevents any carrier case from going all the way in so I do plan to write a note to JetBlue b/c I fear one day it will cause an issue for someone like me or possibly you in future. Now, just so you know I had my puppy in a pet gear stroller too and kept him in there until we were last passenger to board. At the time I had to step into plane, I closed strolled, handed it to bag agent that takes the baby strollers and then transferred puppy to carrier. This was my way for him to spend the least...

CBCB: My husband and I recently traveled for the holidays and purchased the Sherpa Original Deluxe carrier in a medium for our dog. For reference, our dog is 11 inches in height and weighs 7 lbs. With Sherpa, there is a "Guaranteed On-Board" (GOB) with this carrier. Once you have purchased the carrier, you follow the directions included with the Sherpa's instructions. I suggest you find out if your airline is included with Sherpa's GOB before purchasing the Sherpa by going to their website www.flygob.com. Some airlines do not approve specific Sherpa carriers (some only approve the Deluxe and not the others) and some do not include all of the carrier sizes.

We flew Southwest Airlines to and from our destination including the connecting flights. Southwest Airlines is apart of Sherpa's GOB; however, Southwest Airlines only approves the small Sherpa and not the medium or the large. We purchased the medium anyways so that our dog had more room. There were no issues with the size of our Sherpa (medium) and Southwest. They didn't look at it or inspect it. The middle seats on Southwest have more leg room than the aisle and window seats, which is where my husband sat with the carrier....

Laura B: I bought the medium size. This carrier is amazing! It's roomy enough for my cat (medium sized female cat). The top opening is a game-changer! It's SO much easier to get my cat into it, compared to the ones with only a door on the side. My cat is very squirmy but I don't have a problem with this. The pocket is useful to store extra food, her brush, leash, etc. It can fit everything I need to travel on a short flight with her. The removal pad at the bottom is very soft. Overall great design!

I've flown many times, and this carrier easily fits under the seat of all major Canadian airlines. While it's technically slightly bigger than what the airlines stipulate, I've never had a problem. The sides are flexible so it always fits. No airport employee has ever given me an issue. I've also seen lots of other people travelling on planes with the exact same carrier. Someone even brought the large size on board without any issues.

Andie: This carrier has made my life (and the cats') so much easier! 100% worth the money.

Pros:
-Top door. Loading through the top? Genius. cats go in quickly with little struggle. Also, I can unzip the top a bit while we're on the way to the vet and offer some comforting pets (this makes petting your cat while driving surpsingly easy to do- hey it's better than texting). This on route physical contact has calmed my cat down immensely. happy ear drums!

-Looks good. Because it's not an eye-sore like other carriers, I keep it out and the cats sometimes chill in there. The familiarity helps when they're at the vets, im sure.

-No rattling metal door = no negative association. The sound of the metal door on the old carrier would send the cats running. 30 minutes of search and seize time is not fun for anyone. With sbsolutely zero chance of "tricking" them into the carrier, going to the vet used to be a big deal. Now, it's easy to just plop them in and zip them up before they know what's happening.

-Very secure and safe.

-Easy to carry. I'm 5 feet with a 13 pound cat. I know what im talking about.

Stephanie L. Thompson: I have a six pound toy poodle (Daphne) who will be traveling back to America with me in a few days. Airplanes, especially internationally, are super sticklers for the size of carryon pet carriers, so it was hard finding one that was the right height. I finally ended up ordering this one and having a friend bring it from the states; this was worth every penny and all of the hassle! Initially Daphne was highly skeptical -- she barked at the carrier for a full five minutes when I tried to convince her to go inside -- but gradually she has come around to an acceptance of her little portable prison.

Why I give this five stars:
1. It is extremely convenient for transporting a pet: You have a front zippered opening through which they can climb in on their own (which makes a pet feel better about the imprisonment) and a top zipper for letting a little head poke out now and then without the "cargo" escaping (or to slip in some little treats or ice cubes now and then). The zippered compartment on the other side will make keeping Daphne's documents much handier and means I don't have to be the frazzled lady holding up a hundred people in line while I frantically empty out my entire...
