Oceanbrat: Takes most excellent night photos. Be advised that the time an date stamp has to be reset whenever you change the batteries. Also, in max sensitivity a blowing leaf or butterfly will trigger a photo.

tsunamiscotttsunamiscott: The media could not be loaded.  This camera surprised me! The Browning Recon Force HP4 produces some of the best trail camera images out there, but after comparing it to the Meidase S3 Pro, I prefer the Meidase! The S3 Pro's image quality is better in my opinion to the Browning's and the features and customization options in the setup menu out-match the Browning as well. The S3 Pro's camera is on the door so aiming it can be a bit of a pain, unlike Browning cameras. The overall build quality of the S3 Pro is good and is similar to trail cameras in its price range. The case has strap loops on the back and a tripod mount on the bottom for securing it in place. I think this is a great trail camera for viewing wildlife on private property. If Meidase would add cable lock loops to the back of the case, this would improve security when placed on public lands.

Cody: I have been using Meidase cameras for 3 years now and my Meidase cameras have been much better than every other brand. I don’t think I’ve had a single problem with my Meidase cameras (I have 10 of them).

The photos and videos are high quality and they take great night pictures. The range of detection is also outstanding. The cameras often pick up deer from 50 yards away.

I am a big fan of Meidase cameras, they are the only ones I buy now. I highly recommend that you do the same. These cameras are sold at a really good price, I feel that they are worth well over $100.

The cameras are also very easy to use, and I really like they they have a screen that you can use to look at the pictures in the field.

Lastly, Meidase has good and helpful customer service. They even replaced one of my cameras for free when a bird damaged it. I appreciate this company very much.

Ken Anderson: The media could not be loaded.  I own several different types of trail cameras, ranging from $30 to $180, and this Meidase camera is probably the best of the bunch. The photo quality is very good, and the quality of the video is phenomenal, considering that this is where most of them fall down. The quality of the video picture couldn't be better, and the sound picks up everything and plays it back clearly. My only complaint is that the audio includes a whirring reminiscent of a 16 mm projector. I'm 70, so I remember 16 mm projectors. It doesn't drown out the sound, but it's there in the background. If two people are talking thirty feet away, I can clearly hear what they are saying - which, by the way, was not what I was looking for - but I use it to illustrate the quality of the audio.

I haven't had this camera for a long time but I have had it for a few months, and it...

J. D. ProutyJ. D. Prouty: The media could not be loaded.  I've used a Bushnell trail camera for years. While it's been a lot of fun, the Bushnell's resolution was low, the monochrome screen functions crude, and the tripod base mount broke twice. Time for a replacement! I found that trail cams have improved greatly in features and value. For about half the price, the Meidase is at least twice the camera.

Although I've only used it for a couple days, it's been a pleasure. Setup was smooth, with easy-to-use menus and a clear manual written in English. The functionality is rich and there are many new features I'm eager to try. I was initially disappointed to find a "pop" sound at the start of each video. My email query to Meidase about it was quickly answered with clear instructions on how to download and install a firmware upgrade which resolved the issue.

Photo and video quality, while much...
