Kindle Customer: It came out of the packaging with only two screws to attach bottom stand. Took two minutes to do two I bought. I turned them on with a quick adjustment and in ten minutes I had the best cool comfort zone. Good quality at the right price and functionality is excellent. Zander: This is a high velocity fan that is directional with it's airflow. Unlike many other fans, it does not blow mostly to the sides. You can get a high air flow, but don't expect to use it in a room where quiet is needed. It is not an excessively noisy fan, but buy it for the correct space and use, not your bedroom. It blows through a 25 foot open layout room and the end door going about another 5 feet into the other room. I assembled and tested it there, it will be used in different place. It is not a quiet general use house fan.

WENDY HANOVER: On the first and second speed the noise level isn't too bad. The highest speed is extremely noisy. It's being used to remove smoke from a garage. The highest speed is needed.

This is my third fan of this model. My first was purchased for work and it was used sparingly. That one lasted until it walked off of a table one day. Lesson learned I guess. Make sure everything is secure and that the fan isn't going to go anywhere. The second one I bought for my home. I like the white noise.
That fan lasted about 5 years being run almost every night. It could be very loud sometimes. The last one that I just ordered arrived with a few plastic pieces broken. This wasn't a problem as it was part of the bolt tighteners. Still one would expect a new product to not be broken in the box.

Anyway, It definitely moves the air like the old one, and although it is quieter than the other two It still makes enough noise for what I need.

As to the reviews stating that the fans are less sturdy than before. This new fan is actually made with larger screws and the fan shroud seems to be slightly stronger than my other two.

RoseyP: Received product October 9th, 2018. Started breaking down, making grinding noises and fan stopped circulating after a month . We kept it clean and greased the parts with wd40. Less than 2 months later, total stopped working. Total waste of money.

Jeff123: This was purchased to circulate air in my hangar. It gets hot in an un-insulated metal building when it's 100 outside. This fan can blow a large stream of fresh air across the hangar and blow papers off my bench. And that is on Low. It keeps the temperature tolerable. In fact, I quickly notice when I step out of the air flow as the temperature jumps up. So when I have to move to another area to work, the fan is re-aimed . There is not a big difference in flow between HI and Low. But the noise change is noticeable. Even so the overall noise is minimal and is the woosh of the air and not the motor. It runs smooth and balanced. I've fallen asleep in a chair with the fan blowing on me so it's not very noisy. And you can hear the radio over the fan without having to turn it up much at all. It arrived in a box, inside a loosely packed medium-sized box, inside yet another large box. The outer cardboard box was damaged but the other two were intact. No damage to the fan at all. It took a couple of minutes to assemble the base and use the fan. The unit is not industrial. I wouldn't expect it to survive very long with a crew throwing it around or dropping tools/materials...

Shopperbee: Just loving these fans. Bought 2 MAXX fans to use in large recreation hall two years ago. Really helped cool things down. Went back to same retailer to buy 3rd fan, but had different brand, same size, same price, same promises. Not so! Other brand vibrated, slipped around on the floor, and did not produce comparable cooling effect. Ordered 2 MAXX fans through Amazon and they match the quality and cooling of the original MAXX fans. Someone mentioned the fans are noisey - I find that the "noise" is caused by the volume of air blowing through the blades, not by the motor. Running the fans on low or medium speeds lowers the "noise" and provides plenty of cooling breeze. There are 4 fans in a 30' X 40' room and they do not interfere with hearing music while dancing. They are not silent, but not distracting. Service was fantastic. Fans were delivered in 5 days. Perfect condition.
