Stig Cruz: My original pump I did not know it was for water a mechanic shop  Gave it to me they used it to prime oil coolers on vehicles on vehicles it worked when they gave it to me and I used it for diesel for the longest time until one day I decided to use it for gas and that's when the impeller decided to fall apart bal I bought this one thinking that it would be just as good for diesel and for the 1st few runs it was and then I let it sit and then it wasn't it started to drag it still pumps but it's a lot harder on the motor I guess the rubber in this impeller is not so good for fuel or oil based products like the original 1 was. But they don't claim it's for oil at all it's supposed to only be for water.

Edju: LOTS OF ODD BRAND NAMED PUMP MAKERS USE THE SAME DESIGN, SINCE THE ORIGINATOR'S PATENT PROTECTION IS LONG EXPIRED.
Accordingly, the impeller is really quite common among pumps that display the same end cover characteristics on the pump impeller chamber cover. The 20 something years old pumps with the bronze/brass pump heads are surely worth the minimal cost for an impeller and brushes to extend their usefulness.
