Linda Babulic: An intriguing story of love, connection and friendship masterfully told. Set in Paris, I could taste the food and feel the cobblestone beneath my feet. The weaving of the characters and their lives makes this a page turned. I didn't want the story to end.

Ever since I studied French in both high school and college, I've been interested in novels that take place in France. As I was looking through the selections for this month's Kindle First program, I got excited when I saw this book because it sounded good and is categorized as a romantic comedy, one of my favorite kinds of movies, so I hoped I would enjoy it.
Mia Grinberg is a British actress who needs to take a break from her husband, who also happens to be her costar in movies. She decided to go to Paris, where her friend Daisy owns a restaurant, and she gives herself a new look so she isn't recognized by anybody. After some humor and fun with a dating site, she is set up with Paul Barton, an American author who is living in Paris. The two become friends after some humorous snafus and their relationship is nothing short of chaos, which they seem to enjoy.
When I started this novel, I figured it would take me a bit to get into it since that seems to happen with some novels I read. I didn't expect for it to drag on for the first almost 40%. From there, it picked up and I found some funny parts that I enjoyed but, for the most part, I felt like I...

Over the years, I have found that books that promise to be funny or a “comedy” seldom live up to the hype. While I am not sure why I took a chance with author Marc Levy’s “P.S. from Paris,” I have to say that it was not a disappointment. Here’s why:
CHARACTERS – Mia is an actress, caught between her career and the actions of her philandering husband. Her life is one that pulls her in directions she doesn’t always want to go, and she struggles with the feelings that she begins to feel for Paul. Paul Barton, who is essentially a one-hit wonder when it comes to the novels he has written, already has a long-term lover. However, it is easy to see he has feelings for Mia. Both of the main characters are deeply described, and readers are able to see the thoughts they share with us (even as they keep those secrets from each other).
There are a couple of supporting characters – Daisy, who is Mia’s best friend, and Cristoneli, Paul’s editor. Both help to move the story along. Daisy is a thorn or a salve at any given moment, but her best wishes are always for her friend. Cristoneli is a humorous person, and although he is a bit...
