Kindle Customer Liza G: ...warm, funny, ironic, well played! Best described by this quote from the book's Epilogue: "When we reach the point we think is the lowest, life has an unsuspected wonder in store for us: life itself."

Leah: We live in terribly troubled times, so a simple story with a happy ending seems improbable in real life. And perhaps it is, but Levy's book -- for some unknown reason -- makes me think perhaps not.

schnitz: Strange that a void book ending is more enjoyable than discovering who committed a crime.
This novel is an easy read full of humour and highly recommended.

Babs: I am not one to recap the plotlines of a book when leaving a review, I simply share how I feel upon finishing. A Woman Like Her touched my heart. The story is woven together around residents of an upper scale apartment building on 5th Avenue. Their esteemed building has a manually controlled elevator, which necessitates employment of two elevator operators, one for days and the other for nights. Just open up this book for a warm hearted story with a surprise ending. This book is not a fluff piece, it is an excellently spun story touching many serious social issues in today's world.

Marguerite: It was light, deep and charming. I gave it only 4 stars because the I found the ending a bit vague and truncated for my liking or state. Otherwise it was a 5.

Judy Davies: Levy's books are always enoyable with likable characters. There is a moment, a few pages, when Sanji is selling his social media concept to raise money for an american version of a concept that has been very successful in India, that Levy comments at length about very serious matters. The commentary almost seemed uncharacteristic of the rest of the book, but very much appreciated. There is romance and social commentary about racism and social caste systems both in India and in some form, in America.

Stuart: Lots of games playing by author, as you would expect but he explores all sorts of things , not least the overwhelming power of the rich, the questionable benefits of progress, the dehumanising trends n modern life and what social media might be like. Good fun and thoughtful

SLC: I enjoy Levy's work but often find his pacing is a mixed bag. The story builds momentum slowly but the end feels rushed and unpolished. Generally enjoyable but not one of my favourites.

Qldwolves: A real mix of characters overcome social etiquette to find unity in this quirky novel set in Manhattan. If you enjoyed A gentleman in Moscow, you will enjoy this.
