MrXNYC: Already have a selection of Makita 18v tools and therefore invested in the battery system.
Had been looking to purchase a work light anyway and this had a deal on at the time. Very pleased with the quality and brightness/performance. It is heavy if a 5A/Hr is fitted but it lasts a long time before requiring a battery swap. Easy to handle and use and hanging loop/hook has proved useful.
Different modes are useful depending on needing more of a floodlight vs spotlight - both work very well.

Carlos Avelino Rimoldi: Ya tenía rato buscando un buen faro, ya estaba dispuesto a pagar lo que fuera (trabajo en la luz, y pues nunca hay luz a donde vamos a reparar y no quiero cansar más mis ojitos). Ah cómo me han preguntado por él, que dónde lo compré y eso. Súper recomendable, la pila aguanta por horas (ya las tenía) y tiene un alcance brutal, puedo iluminar un poste desde cuatro carriles de distancia en una autopista hasta la punta del poste.

Dickie GreenleafDickie Greenleaf: This light is fantastic and using it with a 5ah battery, the flashlight shines bright for hours. I use this light as my go-to handheld flashlight….it puts out a lot of light in flood mode, and also a good directional beam in spotlight mode. Quality Makita product, can easily recommend. Pricey, but well worth it.

YDT_PHOTO1: No more dinky flashlights or small recharchable li-ion work-lights with short battery lives. This light eases the workload with no trouble for me to see my projects, it takes inadequate light out of the equation with a many hour long run time. I also use it when walking on my rural property at night. The spotlight is like a police light with a huge throw, so i can see any wildlife that might be out there in the dark. For project lighting i use the flood mode. I dropped it a couple times but the rubber trim protected it, and no damage occurred. This now my most often used Makita tool.

Jamie Clark: Been using this torch for at least a couple of months at this point and it has impressed me this far.
Tough and rugged, and pushes out a few hundred meters easily.

Amazon Customer: What a great light! Used for painting, under the house work, flashlight...etc. Great brightness in all three settings and good battery life. With the 5amp it goes a long... long time.
