The Magnetic USB C Adapter 20Pins Type C Connector is a must-have for anyone with a MacBook Pro/Air or other Type C device. With support for USB PD 100W Quick Charge, 10Gb/s Data Transfer, and 4K@60 Hz Video Output, you'll be able to power up and transfer data quickly and easily. Plus, the adapter comes with 20 gold-plated pins, an aluminum housing, and an LED indicator for fast and safe charging and data transfer. The adapter also features the latest magnets for maximum strength, so you won't have to worry about it disconnecting during charging. Made of high-quality material, this USB-to-USB adapter offers an extended durability. BroniusBronius: Product arrived, and I was stoked! My apple macbook only had the stupid USBC plugs, so this fit the bill perfectly! It was very convenient, and i loved using it. Then my wife received a macbook Air (also neutered with just USBC charging ports), so I got her one as well: At first it was great -- then, it started degrading over time (over 6 months). It required her to mash the head onto the 20 pin magnetic connector, sometimes manipulate the connection a bit before the green LED lights up (also another great feature that this unit provides that these lousy macbooks do not). Eventually (see photo) one rounded corner of the plug broke off and slipped inside the connect, getting stuck on the magnet.
One disclaimer: The plug is probably plenty durable for most users in most situations, but our macbooks sit atop these little laptop desktop stands (like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OOYECC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1), so the Magnetic USBC adapter wire dangles down, and all the force of the height difference is inflicted upon this poor little device. You will probably love this unit through and through, but ymmv.

ssuro: The Magnetic USB-C Adapter works as expected. I bought this adapter in an attempt to preserve the lousy USBC Socket from losing its grip on the cable. For this reason I wish USBC was never created... it has to be one of the worst connectors made in modern history.
Back to the Magnetic Adapter. Its strong magnetic connection makes a positive connection to your laptop (similar to the original MagSafe that Apple used to use. The piece that plugs into the socket is a little bit on the large side. it sticks out approx. 3/16 of an inch.
Fast charging and data transfer work like a charm. If you want to save your USB C Sockets from getting weak and losing their grip ... get a USB C mag adapter like this one.

ccerose: I purchased this to use with the PSVR2 headset. The headset needs to connect to a single front mounted usb port. Since other perifperhals share this port, I was worried about wear and tear. Also, since the headset cable is somewhat short, I was worried about yanking the PS5 over while using the headset.
This magnetic connector is the perfect solution. It connects with no stress on the port, it holds firmly (but pulls away when the cord is tugged), and maintains a fast data flow that is essential for virtual reality.

Vladimir Travalja: It's good solution. Mimicking Apple magsafe, but the problem is, magnet is not that strong. It gets detached easily

HamyHamy: Using this for my MacBook Pro M1 2020. The magnets are strong and snaps immediately. The Green indicator light is a good indicator. The product is good but you cannot use both ports if your use this adapter. After using it for 4 months now, the USB-c pin seems to be a bit loose now. It is charging at times but sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, sometimes you have to plug-out and plug-in again for the charging to start. Wish they had warranty on such items.
Also Wish this was at a much more affordable price point.

SherMan: In removing the MagSafe power cord, Apple has placed the MacBook laptops in danger of damage from being accidentally dragged off by the power cord. The Magsafe designed allowed the power cord to be attached by strong magnets. In case of an accidental tug (like someone tripping over the cord) the power cord magnets simply detached, keeping the laptop safe.
This Magnetic Type C Connector just does that. It allows the power cord to pull free, thus protecting the laptop.
I wish that the device had been designed a little better. It blocks the earphone jack, and the neighbouring USB C port.
Also the magnets separate a trifle too easily. A stronger magnet and a lip around the connector would have made the attachment less wobbly.
The regular USB-C power cord had pulled my laptop twice off the table. With this magnetic attachment my laptop has been saved already about 10 times. Well worth the money.

Terry NewcombeTerry Newcombe: I like this product, as it does what it says it does very well. I appreciate the green power light at the end, and the removal tool. But I'm giving it three stars rather than four because they made it stick out 1/10" more than they needed to, and that interferes with another USB-C cable in my Macbook Air M 2020's second port. As my photo shows, my USB-C hub doesn't fit in at 90 degrees -- I have to force it in to make it fit, and I don't know if that'll have long term consequences. I may take a file to the plastic side of the hub's connector to reduce that risk. So for a future revision, please just don't make the end with the green power light protrude past the magnetic portion as it does now. Otherwise, it's a great product. (And to Apple, I hope your next Mac versions are designed with a greater gap between the ports -- duh!)

Jason GJason G: If your laptop has a USB-C charger, this is a no brainer purchase. Save the wear and tear on your USBC port from unplugging and plugging your charge cable if you move around the house, and simply disconnect the magentic connection quickly and easily.
The magent is strong enough to instantly pull the connector into the correct position, but its still easy enough to quickly just pull the charge connector off when needed when you want to run off battery.
I'm especially impressed that this works with my new Lenovo laptop which has a Lenovo-specific charging mode that keeps the battery at 70-80% to reduce the wear on the battery longterm. I was concerned this magnetic charger might interfere with that signal from the laptop to the charger and just continue to charge the laptop to 100%, but this works the exact same way as the if the charger is plugged directly into the laptop.
So many uses for this connector, you could use it on your phone even, if you didn't mind the little hump at the bottom. Instant magnetic phone charger.
The USBC connector is also easy enough to get out of the port with the incuded tool, not that I should need to take it out much at...

Matthew J.: Pros -- Has a strong magnetic hold, similar to original MagSafe chargers on old Apple laptops. Charging speed seems unaffected. Data transfer capable.
Cons -- The connector that plugs into the USB-C ports significantly limits the ability to connect other accessories to adjacent USB-C ports on some laptops, most significantly on the MacBook Pro and Air 13" models 2018 to present with USB-C ports on only one side of the laptop.
Review -- This device works really well and I feel somewhat bad for removing a star for a $20 device necessitated by Apple's own (poor) engineering choices to both a) discontinue Magsafe and b) place the only two I/O ports (two USB-C ports) so close together on their mainstream laptops. While you can still plug in some very low-profile USB-C cables, such as Apple's packaged cord into the adjacent port, this takes up enough space that the majority of USB-C hubs (as needed to connect to USB-A, SD card, ethernet, HDMI, etc.) available on Amazon require the removal of the charging connector to plug into the adjacent port.
Theoretically, you could keep the magnetic USB-C port plugged into the laptop and plug the hub into the other part of the...

Noyb: Saves ports from inception damage. Easy on, easy off. Hasn't appeared to reduce charging nor data rates. Bought way too many and put them on everything. Phones, battery banks, SD-adapters... Tried cheaper ones, they disappointed. This one is reliable.
