L. Hunt: This product was easy to put together, it is not flimsy but a rigid solar plastic sphere attached to a float sponge with plastic straws to maintain its floatation centrally. The pump is on the reverse side of it which inserts centrally through the solar panel. This pump is where the switch is located to control the height of the water flow out of the nozzle moving back and forth according to arrows. It comes with a variety of fountain cover caps for the funnel to choose from for the water pattern; these two pieces snap together onto the pump making the fountain. If the water level gets low in the birdbath, then it of course does not have the ability to push a significant amount of water up as a fountain, but rather a burble of water. Water level and its cleanliness in the birdbath is the user’s responsibility. As it allows for cleaning the bowl, preventing debris and algae formation, and a proper water level for the fountain to function as it should. I have had mine for seven months and clean it monthly. kat: The media could not be loaded.  This is a fun silly gadget for summer days. Bought it for my dog to enjoy the hot summer days in kitty pool. She d not hop into the pool but d play sometimes with “biting the water” spraying out of fountain. Then I went away for 2 weeks and put the fountain away only to discover it d not work even after several minutes of good sun exposure. Then I read a comment to shake it and now it again works great! As you can see in our video it has to stay in the sun otherwise (unlike solar lights at night) it does not spray. Overall didnt mind spending $10 for this silly item 😊

dodgeramgirl35: I bought one of these fountains in 2021 and another one in 2022. These have worked just fine each year from spring to fall and stored in the winter. They were affordable, and as long as they were in direct sun, they worked great. Anything less then full sun, not so much. Originals would get 4 stars….However, I don’t think it’s the same product now and I’m not happy with The new design. I created more water features this year, so I tried to buy additional fountains of the ones I had originally got since I liked them. The order link to “buy again” took me to this newer model. Being happy with the first 2 I got from them, I decided to purchase three of the new ones over the last several months for my new projects. Initially, they worked the same as the originals. They have to have direct full sunlight (I expected and was used to this). The newer model has 2 main features that are different from the original ones that I noticed. It has an adjustable water height setting, which is nice so you can control the spray height. This helps so it doesn’t spill out of your container and empty the water basin. Liz W: I would have given it a 5 because it was great when it worked. But it stopped working after two weeks and nothing (including vigorous shaking suggested in another review) got it working again.

Worked ok (only in full sun while the sun was up - no reserve power whatsoever) for about 3 weeks then started to lose power. I cleaned out off of any debris from my pond and had to set it completely in full sun for 1 1/2 days not in water for the pump to come back to life. It hasn't been the same since and I just got it to come "back to life" again this past weekend (today is Monday) after not working at all again for over 2 weeks and it's already back to not working. I wouldn't bother with this product at all. And yes, I submerge it fully for 5-8 seconds each time I've taken out if the water
