Kindle Customer: I loved this book. Two sisters finding a way to still show they care for each other even with all the outside influences against them. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to find out what happened next. Cute at times but shows actual emotions between siblings once they have grown up and have different lifestyles. Highly recommended for us "older" readers. Warning: they do use cell phones, even at their age.

Carole Beck: I loved the natural flow of the story and the humour and descriptions. I would highly recommend this for any single female over 65 years. They will really relate to the characters in this tale.

Casey: I wanted the book to go on and on. Loved the characters and the humour and how everything worked together. I know the character was in her 60s, but kept envisioning Olivia Cole or Miranda Hart as Kitty which made the humour even funnier. Well done Maddie Please, please consider writing a sequel for this book!!

Charlotte R. Mitchell:
I really enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. I loved the personality the author gave the main character, Kitty. She had such humorous thoughts, and those thoughts often slipped right out into her conversations. Kitty didn't try to hide her faults, and her flub-ups reminded me of the old I Love Lucy messes.
Kitty and her older sister loved each other but had been estranged for several years. They were forced to work together when their aunt died and left her home in France to the sisters. Kitty and Jenny left England together and moved temporarily to France to supervise renovations to their aunt's house. The sisters' personalities continued to clash, and Kitty wondered if they could ever go back to the close relationship they had as children.
I liked the short chapters, the humor, and the storyline. The animals were an added attraction; Gigi, Blanche, and Hector, the gaseous diffusion donkey made me laugh out loud. I found only one typo near the end of the book. As usual with books in which the characters are from the United Kingdom, I thought there was too much alcohol consumption, which can really muddle the brain.

Brenda Womble: A well written story of sisters who were estranged and the story of an aunt who died bringing them back together.
Maddie writes a book that some of us may have faced some of these same obstacles. Exceptional reading.
