Derek: The product arrived on time and the box was in good shape, but the tip of the sealant tube that was included with the threshold inside the box was bent and cracked and the sealant had oozed inside the box as well as on the product itself and was also dried out inside the tube, so I was unable to use it. It took a while for me to scrape and clean off all the dried sealant stuck to the garage threshold. After going to buy a new sealant, then I was able to install it. The threshold itself and the brand of sealant are very good quality, it was just unfortunate that I had to scrape and clean it which took so much longer than anticipated to install it.

Karen Simmonds: Good for a car garage but I think a skidoo would make quick work of it.

Jojo: Fall is in the air and the leaves have started to fall. If you live in the city then you have no problems with leaves. However, if you live in the rural part of town where there are plenty of trees, leaves can give you headaches. One of our garage floor is uneven right where the door closes. So, there’s a small gap where water can leak inside during heavy downpour. Bought this to hopefully fix that issue. It hasn’t rained yet so I can’t tell yet if this threshold works for me. However, I am glad it hasn’t rained yet because this dry spell has helped dry up the silicone seal that I applied to get this threshold to seal on the floor. I followed the simple instructions and I also watched a couple of videos online to see how other folks installed theirs. Got this installed in about 30 minutes or so. I took my time and I was stalling that’s why it took me that long to install it. I used a box cutter knife to trim mine. I’m also glad the silicone seal that came with this wasn’t dried up and it wasn’t leaking. We’re expecting rain next week so I’ll see how this holds up. I’ll update my review soon.

Darin Thibodeau: The threshold strip was the answer for my drafting issues, leakage. I cut to length and then set the strip under my garage door skirting and then drew a line along it's edge. I then opened the flip-up door, beaded the silicone on the floor, and set the strip on it ensuring to keep strip edge along the marked line. Allowed 24 hours to set before closing the door. Nearly 100% seal. Very inexpensive way to reduce energy costs as I heat with electric heaters.

culturejamming: Installed in my brand new detached garage because the concrete pad near the door is not perfectly level and water and cold air was getting underneath of it at points. Whenever there was a good heavy rainstorm, I would find a massive puddle inside when I opened up the door so this seemed like the perfect cheap solution.
My door opening is 9 feet wide so I measured and cut the threshold down. I ran out of sharp blades for my utility knife so I instead had to hack at it with a half-dull Chinese-made flip knife which was a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and use a very SHARP blade because this material is tough, especially at the thickest point. It was reassuring to see that first-hand in spite of my difficulty cutting it.
I would also suggest leaving the threshold laid out for 24 hours with some weight on it as it came from the box rolled up and needed time to work the bends out. You will want to lay the threshold dry by your door and chalk everything so you get the right fit. There is a ridge in the middle of the threshold, and the garage door seal is supposed to butt up against the one side of that, not ride on top of it. The manual mentions pouring the included...

rnaple: This is especially good in the north, where it gets cold. Often times, you get water under the garage door. Then, it freezes. Try to open the garage door and it's frozen shut. You end up late to work. Or unable to go. You ruin weather seal at the bottom of the door. It's a big hassle. This solves that problem. I imagine, even if my warm car is dripping water. I can just dry this strip off before closing the door. Then don't have to worry.
Any lesser problems of wind blown rain. Or debris. I installed this all the way to the rails the door rides on. So the front edge is hard against the wood of the door opening.
On observing my install. This along with the weather seal at the base of the door work better than just the weather seal. I want my garage door sealed up for winter. I don't want the cold coming in. On observing my last place I lived. An apartment with a separate garage. The only heat the garage had was from the ground. Only attached to other garages. When it was 16 below zero outside. The inside of my car was 15 above zero. That's better than a block heater for the car. Now, with this attached garage on my house. I'll see how good. Also want that cold out of the...
