Zip Z: This is a simple strip of flexible material cutcto an appropriate length. Simple to install and efficient . It is substantially thinner than the weatherstrip which is being replaced and.... bummer... and it did not come with nails. Adequate, and decently priced.

Amazon Customer: It works. It’s OK you can see the light through the weatherstripping itself other than that it’s fine.

Amit SoodAmit Sood: Purchased this in Sept 2020 and was unable to install it that time. The nails that came with it were too big and very difficult to use. Tried to install with both techniques (with door open and closed). But as shown in the pictures of the product on amazon (which says that the part with smaller width is where you need to nail it on the wood). I was unable to install it. It was not easy to get a grip with the nail on the smaller part of the strip.
Finally yesterday May 20, 2021, before opting to buy a different weather strip I thought of giving it another shot and with a different approach (the part with bigger width nailed to the wood) and I was finally able to install it with ease and it works perfectly. The smaller width part blocks the opening between the garage door perfectly and no air or light can be seen from the cracks once the door is closed.
I used the standard 1 inch wood nails for the side and staple gun to install the top piece. Initially after installing the top part of the strips on the sides were kind of folding to the inside when I was closing the door but after some adjustments (sprayed some WD40 on the inner side of the strip that interacts with the garage...

Shells: I was able to install it myself, but it was really hard to get the highest portions in place - I’m short and have no strength above my head. So i had a 91” piece and was trying to hold it straight on the door frame above me AND hold a nail in place AND hammer it in - not easy. All i needed was one person to hold it for me to get it started, but thats not exactly something i have access to. I needed up getting it placed with the nails 1/2 driven, and then adjusted the placement and nails afterwards. So i have a lot more holes in the door frame than what would be ideal, but hey, the thing is up, and it is keeping the heat in and the cold out pretty darn well.
It did have places in the roll that were a little warped... when i measured it the longer flap would be sticking up in waves. This doesn’t seem to affect the functionality once the seal is placed, just kind of annoying. I think this can be attributed to the stretching capability of this seal, which is great in most cases but was definitely a little annoying when i went back to do my readjustment. Because this will stretch, but wont ‘stretch back,’ so to speak, to maintain tension. It stays stretched out once...

DrumhappyDrumhappy: I had this product on the door for over a decade, I only had to replace it because I re-did the trim and the dimensions changed, otherwise the old stuff would have been fine to re-use. It is very durable and long lasting. The old stuff came with nice white painted roofing nails, which I used, but now the nails provided are galvanized and look bad so I did not use them. I used the screws pictured, purchased at Menard's, they work much better. The strip needs no sealant to the door trim, the pressure from the door forces it into the trim and effects a seal that way, the fasteners just hold it in place, so don't get the idea of caulking it to the trim, that is totally unnecessary. You have to set it in place so it puts light pressure on the door to get a seal, but not too much or the door might hang up and not close completely. The door itself also must have its track adjusted so it follows the door opening accurately. A little careful tweaking gets it right. Look at the bottom seal of the door where it sits on the concrete and make sure it sits the same as before the strips were installed, if you see daylight where there wasn't any before, then the strip pressure is hanging up the...

Towona: Product was as expected. Thanks. I'm not sure why when I ordered 5 of these, each was delivered in its own box that was big enough to fit dozens of these inside it. Seemed like a waste.
