Kody: If you're using it on and off quite often, be careful. I had a bit where my car kept dying, so I had to use it pretty often (not supposed to, it's a cheap jumpstarter, not a long temporary fix for a bad battery) I suppose I charged it and discharged it too many times because it kind of blew up on me. If you see any smoke, toss it instantly. Otherwise, it's small and portable, charges fairly quick, and has great battery life

Alexia: I LOVE THIS CHARGER!! It has saved my life so many times. I have battery issue quit often with my car & I never leave without it. You can usually get 2-3 jumps per charge which is much better then others. I bought this for the great price & now can’t live w/o it

Amazonaholic: I'm an engineer, and appreciate an engineering or somewhat scientific review. I found none, so here goes:
Two points of concern were mentioned in other reviews, which are important to review, and here is my analysis:
- Battery explodes and starts a fire.
Chances are always highest at the beginning, so I take care on first charging of anything. I check for smells, heat, and sound from something first plugged into charge. Nothing in the first few seconds, great! I make sure I don't leave home with any new thing charging the first time, at least not within the first hour without checking back. It passed this test, got charged to 5 green solid bards. The next (bigger) test is when trying to jump start a car. You should be in your car, safely out of view of the battery, in case something bad happens. In my case, it passed with no concerns. Could it still start a fire out of the blue, which is the scarier scenario? Sure, we read this stuff happens in the news, but do some stress testing up front and you should rest easier if it passed your test. Check reviews, as I did - no one mentioned it going up in smoke out of the blue when I checked.

nyc: This 2200 LOFTEK car jump starter battery pack is literally what its name implies. It jump starts your car, but it will not charge up your car battery. My car battery, day after day, was starting to not start up due to a combination of not driving the car for several weeks and the cold weather. So I needed this to jump start my car each time after my car reached the point of not starting when I turned my key. This product works great if you are stuck with a low car battery power. You connect this to the car battery and the car will ignite without waiting. Hook the red connector to the red on your car battery and the black to the black. Press a button on this device to turn it on, and when the blue lights come on, you get in your car and turn your key, and the car starts up each time. There are four blue indicator lights on the device to represent 25% charge by each light. So when all four lights up, there is 100% power on the device. Instruction says you need at least 10% power, thus at least one indicator light (25%) is needed for the device to work. I recommend you do not go below 2 indicator lights just to make sure there is enough juice in the pack to start your car. I jump...
