Edward S.: This trail camera was fairly easy to configure. The mounting strap is a bit clumsy to use, so I will be researching Youtube for mounting tricks. I am still learning more about this camera, but it works great so far (as of 3/14/23). It would be helpful have more in depth explanation of each of the settings so that I could maximize the use of the camera. The brief instructions are a blessing and a curse...blessing in that I was operational very quickly...curse inasmuch as it didn't explain some settings in detail. I will learn more through trial and error, but overall it takes great videos and photos with very good quality. Color during the day and black and white at night.

W. Sherman: I am a first time user and set up was pretty easy. Picture is good and battery life is great. I use it to see what wildlife comes to my porch at night to eat bird food and it has done a good job of recording the animals there.

Frugal AntFrugal Ant: The media could not be loaded.  I was having an issue of something stealing my chickens, and decided to give this a try see if I can identify the culprit. I’m frugal, so I had a difficult time deciding on how much to spend on a game camera, and decided to go with the 16MP, and the old version allowed me to save a few extra bucks, and I figured for the purpose of identifying the culprit, I didn't need to spend a lot of money on a camera.

Overall the design is simple to use. I don’t like the idea that I am dependent on remote controls to change the camera settings, but apparently this has been upgraded in the new versions from what I read. Regardless, you do get two remote controls, so you can keep one as a back up.

The remote controls already have the batteries installed, you just have to pull the plastic tab for the battery to make contact, however, the camera...

JWJW: I was able to snag a few of these when they were only $35.99 each, and also purchased two 16gb SD cards as well as rechargeable batteries (although the instructions say rechargeables don't work with these cameras they definitely do). Having never used trail cameras before, I found these to be easy to set up and use. I put these up in several different locations a few months ago to see what 4 legged, and possibly 2 legged creatures, were on some property I just purchased. To my delight, the cameras were able to catch some bucks, does, a few fawns, a whole lot of turkeys and one bobcat. It also caught an unknown fella walking by. The daytime pics are pretty decent while the nighttime pics are a little on the grainy side but still clear enough to identify what's in the pictures. The cameras have held up well to many days of rain and temperatures over 100 degrees on some days. One of the only negative things about them is the need to use the little remote control they came with to access the setting, look at pictures, etc. Apparently, the new version has built in controls on the camera itself which makes things a lot more convenient.

Langston McGee: I was really hoping this was a good deal for the money. I was wrong.

The Bad:
1) The 1080p video and 16mp photo quality are the max settings and, when viewed on a computer, are terrible. I'm talking 640x480 style photos. Maybe its the lens or photocells or something, but its clearly not what you would expect from these settings. It's almost as if low res images/video are upscaled to 1080 ratio giving the impression of high quality. Or maybe the jpeg compression just destroys the image. I just don't know.
2) The motion detect is awful. On 3-shot burst, it did not detect things moving past it at varying speeds until it was almost off camera. Isn't this the point of the camera? This persisted with different PIR settings.
3) I had it set for security. Faces were unrecognizable at about 15 feet and license plates could not be read on stationary cars from about 20 feet. This was in broad daylight. Night vision was even worse.
4) On 8 AA batteries, I was down to 2/3 after 24 hours.
5) If you use a large SD card (like most) make sure it can be formatted to FAT32. Many cards cannot and require 3rd party programs to do this.

The Good:
