Anton Amelekhin: They feel a bit slippery due to the coating, and it was very noticeable for the first couple days, but somehow I got used to it and forgot to think about it. They feel and ring nice and bright. Can't assess durability since I've only put them couple weeks ago, but they can handle bends just fine.

Kelvin: Been playing over 40 years and recently got into my first Les Paul. My old standby strings were just OK on this guitar so I tried a few different sets. Some were pretty bad to the point of making it sound choked.

These strings were the clear winner by far! In both tone and feel. I'll never put another brand of strings on this Les Paul.

Naterman: After 17 years of playing both electric and acoustic guitar, and having fun hopping around between all sorts of strings and brands over the years (like Ernie Ball, D'addario's, DR's, Fenders, and Dunlop) I can say with confidence, that Elixir strings are hands down some of the best guitar strings you can buy.
They are all high quality strings way before the special polymer coating is even added on, so whichever grade of Elixir you choose, know that you're getting top quality strings that are going to sound amazing, and last a very long time.

So why go with Elixirs?
The science is awesome, you melt a micro sized polymer condom-like film over a high quality string, and the result is not just amazing sound and tone, but very long lasting strings that don't lose their musical edge or sharpness for months at a time, even almost a year at a time.
-Why? Because Science! -Because the metal in the strings can't corrode nearly as fast, because its not being exposed to, or making contact with oxygen, or sweat, or oils, or dirt/dust over the length of time.
-The coating prevents natural corrosion, yet is thin enough and made with a special polymer that doesn't dampen too...

The Grateful Dad: Great product all around. I bought a gauge too high, but still a nice set of strings. I reordered on .09 since the strings are beautifully crafted and play like a dream.
