Amazon Customer: This game is must for any kid (or adult) who loves Star Wars and Lego. The gameplay and storylines are surprisingly detailed and complex while still being accessible and fun for children. My six year old hasn't seen any of the films but knows the characters through Lego and some cartoons. He absolutely loves playing the game and I have a surprising amount of fun playing with him as well.

New West Guy: It works! I think Lego Batman 2 is a better game but me and my 6 year-old are enjoying this one. Lots of levels to play. One tip is to go online to get the cheat codes so you can earn coins quicker.

Susan M.: My two boys had a copy of this game several years ago. The disk got scratched from use and eventually wouldn't load anymore. I ordered a new copy on Amazon. It arrived in just 3 days (it helped that we live in the same province!). My boys have loved playing the game all over again and had a renewed interest in Star Wars after seeing the latest movie at Christmastime. The vendor description of the product was exactly what I received and I am very happy with this purchase.

M. Swingler: We bought this for Christmas for our 4-year-old on the recommendation of friends with a similar aged kid. It has been a serious hit. He learned to play really quickly, but even before he really understood what he was doing he enjoyed it. And it's pretty fun for adults to play along with kids (or without kids) also. Sometimes my husband and I would get so into finishing the level, we would play it after our son went to sleep. It can be slightly maddening, at times, to play with a 4-year-old, but that's how most things are these days, so we're used to it. The two players are yolked together, so you have to go the same direction at the same pace or someone can get dropped out of the game. But once you learn to play together, it's fine and probably a good exercise in team work. The Star Wars aspect of it is pretty fun too- it follows all 6 movies. You collect currency (Lego pieces) that you can spend on unlocking characters and abilities. Since kids don't always get the currency aspect of the game, my husband and I helped with that too sometimes after bedtime. EFS: I bought this game for my 5-year-old son. He has just started to be very interested in video games and he loves both Lego and Star Wars. I began researching Wii games to find some that would be stimulating and not just mindlessly violent. I read some reviews of this game that described it as a "puzzle" game, so I thought it would be perfect. I expected there to be some element of Lego-building in this game, but unfortunately, there really isn't. Certainly the game involves some problem-solving, but it also involves a lot of fighting. I have to say that my son loves it, and I can see why, it is really exciting for him, but as a mother it is much more violent than I expected, and because of that I wouldn't purchase it for a younger child.

E. Spillman: My son got this for his 7th birthday. It was almost an afterthought and wasn't very expensive because the newer version has come out. I might as well have skipped the other gifts as he hasn't played with any of them. This was his first real exposure to anything Star Wars but now he is as obsessed as anyone. Best of all, for the first time in his life, I have some leverage. We have been able to address some ongoing behavior issues by allowing him to earn time to play Lego Star Wars. No other toy or activity was ever interesting enough to really work for a reward system. That is how much he loves this game. He wakes up in the morning and gets dressed like lightning so he can have a few minutes to play - no more dilly-dallying. He is good all day at school because he knows if I get a good report from his teacher, he can play an extra 20 minutes. I do limit his screen time so the rest of the time when he's not playing the game, he's drawing pictures of the game, making up stories about it, reading books about Star Wars, and making his own light-sabers out of whatever is available. David Monroe: This game is fun, the humor is great, the plot holds up if you've seen the movies with a bit of a parody bend and it's just plain fun.

I have two problems with the game.

1. You have at least a second character attached to you at all times often more. They are useless as single player NPC's except for certain "stand on the red button" situations which is one of their primary purposes. They almost never help in a fight against an enemy, they make a show of it, but their shots/hits don't actually count. They draw a little fire which is helpful and if they die it doesn't really count against you, but other than an occasional almost accidental ricochet off of them they're just for show.

2. The use of that at least second character mentioned above by a second player is also problematic. The game is not designed in such a way that playing with someone below your skill level can be done without heavily penalizing the better player. Many of the jumps require some distance and scrolling. If you've got a slow poke that consistantly takes their time the screen will not scroll beyond a certain point causing your character to drop into pits and die - costing valuable studs...
