hal vice: the disc arrived covered in scratches and when put into the wii would come up with an error message saying 'the disc could not be read' no matter how many times i restarted the wii and attempted to clean the disc. every other game i have for the wii plays perfectly fine so it's not the console.

George: We have kids that range from 3 year old to 42 :)
We just got the game and we all love it! The three year old just dance because he sees the rest of us (no Wii remote for him though).
The 12 and the 8 year old loves the dance, and it is great we can play all together.
It is great also you can play with party of 8 if you wish. Also looks like you can have tones of fun doing a good workout: perfect when the weather does not invite to be outside.
And yes, it is just dance, nothing more!

gabenarch: Just Dance 2 is fun to play and a great tool for working out. It has 44 tracks, ranging from Elvis and the Jackson 5 to Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls, plus there are additional tracks that can be downloaded for a fee (I'll definitely be getting Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild). You hold the Wiimote in your right hand and mirror the dancers on the screen. I've found that occasionally there are moves that are a little difficult to do with the Wiimote in hand.

The game has more features than the first one, including several different play modes such as Duets, Dance Battle, and Just Sweat. I've primarily been using the Just Sweat mode, for my morning work out (yes, I find it fun enough to get up an hour earlier than usual). It tracks regular points (how well you follow the movements of the dancers on the screen) as well as sweat points (amount of energy used). From what I've read online, 4.2 sweat points equals about 1 calorie burned, so in the Intense program (2000 sweat points/day), you use up about 475 calories. If there could be a way to input your personal stats (like on Wii Fit) so just the calories burned could be measured, it might be a more useful feature. As it is, the...

M. Galindo: One of the things I like about the Wii game console is the fact that it provides the potential to get people up and moving, rather than simply sitting and operating simple controls with their fingers while staring stupidly at a TV screen. I bought "Just Dance 2" for a few reasons:

1. To get more exercise myself

2. To hopefully get my stepson and my step-granddaughter up and moving and exercising more

3. To provide a form of entertainment that is really fun, as well as interactive

This game succeeds at all these! While I do have to admit that I am a generation or two older than most of these songs are intended for, there are a few that I can relate to and provide more than enough aerobic bouncing and moving to work up a sweat! When my 11 year old stepson visited the first weekend I had this game, and he was tempted to turn on Nickalodeon and simply veg out AGAIN, I suggested he take a look at this game. He didn't want to stop playing it all weekend!! He was up and moving and dancing as much as he could! And when his dad wouldn't play with him, my stepson and I had "dance battles" and played "Simon Says." This kid is a total video game junkie, and...

J. Ulman: As an avid user of Konami's Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party games for the Wii, I was very excited about the original Just Dance when it first debuted -- only to find myself frequently frustrated by the extremely poor motion tracking, which led to constant "misses" even when I hit the moves exactly right. With games like this, I don't feel that the aim is necessarily perfect scoring, just having fun -- but it gets frustrating to consistently get negative feedback when putting in your best effort.

OVERALL: With the new Just Dance 2, it's like a whole different game. The motion tracking is VASTLY improved, making for a much more rewarding gameplay experience. It's still not spot-on (in large part thanks to the limitations of the Wii's own motion-tracking system), but if you have played Just Dance 1, you will absolutely notice the difference. The track list is extensive (about 40 songs included), and the choreography more interesting, complex, and full-body. The graphics are more elaborate and detailed, though that was never a major point of interest for me. Frankly, in comparison, my beloved DDR is pretty boring and static -- and lately the DDR mat is gathering dust in...
