Big Bear: The replacement sensor works fine on our weather station but for how long is uncertain. Past sensors have lasted only a few years before dying. Will see how this one does.

E. Stoehr: my old oak clock is the one with the weather clouds sun rain section. This transmitter replaced the old outdoor transmitter. That one was out on my porch in humid Florida for years. It only makes the out door temp reading work as all the rest of the information on the clock is generated from with in the indoor part of the clock. Its really a pleasure to have the clock full function again. I have know idea why this company stopped making such a perfect wall clock. Silly company!

Nick V.: Fantastic replacement for my old sensor that wound not take a charge anymore. I would replace the batteries and even scratch up the battery terminals as they could have been corroded. No dice. This old sensor did not want to work

After having the old unit for about 12 years I was able to find an exact duplicate new sensor online. Plugged in new batteries and voila!! I was able to read the outside temp on my display unit inside.

I got so use to using this device over the years and was more than glad to be able to find a duplicate exact original replacement sensor 👍👍

Angeler: Love these clocks! Always accurate and large enough to read at a glance. This is my third one. The outdoor temperature sensor is the weak link in this system. It only lasts for about five years or so and then needs to be replaced. My old clocks are still working just not with an outdoor sensor. Bought this new sensor and my clock picked it up immediately. Working fine for now. The battery only lasts for nine months in the outdoor sensor but the clocks run for at least a year before needing replacement.

D. Heimann: It works! This is sort of a long story, so lets begin at the beginning. First one I had that came with the station, worked fine with two stations as well. (one transmitter, two clock/weather receivers). Then one day.. it fell and broke. oh well.. get a new one. worked just fine. then it fell and broke.. most of this is my fault since I never attached them to the wall or anything. just laying on an old bench car seat on the back porch. received another. i think the batteries in this one just died,, tried new batteries.. didn't work.... ok.. got this one.. (ok,, this is the 4th one if you're keeping track. it didn't work. tried every which way to put the batteries in. transmitter first.. receiver first.. etc.. then it dawned on me.... there were still batteries in one of the other previous transmitters. took them out.. and now the new one worked like a charm. evidently it was still trying to transmit (something), and was interfering with the new one. Just thought i'd pass my experience on for those who say this item doesn't work.

R. Morris: I got a La Crosse WT-5220U-IT alarm clock with indoor/outdoor temperature as a gift a while back and had my outdoor temperature sensor placed, as you might expect, outside. One day I discovered my outdoor temperature reading was blank, so I went outside to try to find the sensor, thinking maybe my batteries had died. Turns out, the sensor was nowhere to be found. Maybe it got stolen, or maybe it got blown away in the winds that I'm pretty sure we weren't actually having that day. Who knows.

Anyway, I was relieved to find that I didn't need to buy an entirely new alarm clock just replace my missing sensor. I went to La Crosse's website to see what sensor I needed for my model (WT-5220U-IT), and this is the one they said. Note that there are multiple sensor models, so if you're looking for a replacement, make sure you get the right one. I followed the instructions for setting it up, and everything has been fine since then (almost a year now).
