I have two other more advanced weather stations that I supplemented with this simpler unit. While the others have windspeed and rainfall sensors, both are tied to a permanent installation both in the pole-mounted sensors and also the indoor AC power and wifi connections.
I needed something mobile to use everywhere I went: particularly frequent traveling & camping to multiple locations. This unit is entirely battery-powered, requiring no AC plug, or solar power for the external sensor, just what I was looking for. Accuracy seems good but only a lab test would tell the full truth.
The only downside I've noticed is when the unit's battery voltage goes low, the display significantly reduces in contrast and becomes difficult to read. The rechargeable NiMH AA cells I tried produced too little voltage to clearly read the display from every angle. Replacing them solved the issue.
There is no backlight feature for reading in the dark, but that's what flashlights are for.
A newer version of this unit exists which is better suited for colder climates and likely other benefits, but this one does the job and saves a few bucks.

tonymcc: I have another La Crosse weather station that works with three sensors and the included sensor can be changed to channels 1-3. This one comes with a sensor that is set at channel one and cannot be changed, and the weather station will only receive from a channel one sensor. That's fine if you know that going in.

The readings seem to be reasonably accurate and they are easy to read. Minimum and Maximum temps are readily available. The date and time functions are not that useful and in smaller font.
Overall worth the money

Pablo Vega: Si eres de los obsesivos con el clima con este gadget te va a servir. Noto una ligera diferencia entre el sensor indoor y el outdoor, de entre uno y dos grados Celsius.

Craigboy53: This La Crosse Wireless Weather station is great value for the price. I bought this model specifically because it provides both inside and outside humidity, whereas many just show indoor. Setup is very easy. The instructions are well written and clear, and setting time and date was easy. The LCD display of temperature is large and clearly visible from across the room, and can be set for F or C degrees. The humidity readouts are just below and to the left of the temp, and about 2/3 the size. These are visible from 8 feet, whereas the temp is visible for 15 feet at least. The time display can be set to 12 or 24 hr format, and the display is about the same size as the humidity readout, visible from about 8 feet. The time and date display is very small and thin, and only visible from 2 feet, but I don't use it for a clock, so that is irrelevant, as is the time alarm. The minimum and maximum temp feature works well. The moon phase display is visible from across the room, and displays a full moon as clear, dark of the moon as black (as opposed to my other station which has it backwards....showing a full moon as black). One very handy feature is a signal...

It tells the temperature and the humidity. Both indoor and out. Has an alarm clock and displays the date. It does what it claims to do.
My only beef is that I bought this unit to mount on the wall of my trailer. I picked this unit because if the features, it runs on batteries and that it looks fairly flat in the pictures. Good for a wall mount.. What none of the pictures show is that it has a little plastic leg on the bottom in the back. This is so it sits upright on a desk. This leg is hollow. To suit my needs, I modified it with a dremmel. Now I have this unit hanging on the wall using Velcro. This is so I will be able to change the batteries when the time comes.
It works well and does everything I need it to. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Item arrived today.
You will need 4 AA batteries, 2 for the receiver and 2 for the transmitter. In both cases, they just slide open to place the batteries inside.
The instructions were very clear and setting the date/time, etc. was very easy. The device itself is attractive looking. The transmitter has a hole at the top so it can be hung outdoors on a nail, easily. Very handy. It is slim and unobtrusive.
The receiver actually shows signal strength from the transmitter and I have mine about 26' away and it's still showing full strength. The display on the receiver is large and easy to read. You can see both outdoor and indoor temperature and humidity. You can also press buttons for temperature trend and heat index/dew point. The device also shows moon phase in case you're a werewolf and need to know when the next full moon will be.
I can't speak to battery life as it only just arrived but this device is perfect for my needs. Also the instructions tell me that the device will give me a signal when the batteries are low. If you're looking for a basic home weather station, you won't go wrong here.

Review after three months use:
First off, bad design. Immediately upon opening I found that there is nothing in the back to hang it up, which was my plan. Granted it doesn't claim there is, and the FAQ does point that out if you go look for it -- it just never occurred to me that somebody would make such a device and not bother to include a simple cavity in the back as it costs nothing to do so. I assumed it was a model that stood up optionally, or you could hang it. Counterintuitive won the day so I had to change location plans.
Once up, its numbers are nice and large and can be read from some distance across the room. Battery life seems very good, haven't needed replacement or faded at all. The temperature and humidity readings seem accurate.
It does report recorded max temperature. Recorded minimum however has never reported anything. Just sits there and continues to read present temp.
One of the features I was looking for in different models was the moon phase. It seems accurate on that but that depends on having the right date. But this thing resets itself, at random times, to "midnight January 1 2013" which I assume is the...

Jo: I put this in our camper with the transmitter in the outside cabinet. It's nice to have outside temp wherever we go. It's accurate and so easy to use and read.
