LJLJ: I see now that this is priced for $15, but I got it for $8. I bought this as a very temporary set up for some Medaka, dwarf shrimp and a lone guppy. Larger cheaper bowls aren't very common, so $8 was a steal!

It holds about 3 gallons and the plastic is very clear and thin but decently sturdy. Has enough room for a basic sponge filter and a small heater as well. I don't care for the narrow opening, but since it's temporary, it's not a big dealto me.

This would make a great cheap set up for shrimp or snails and is clear enough for a nice small aquascape.

Mine did not come with dents like the other reviewers.

JR O.: so, we ordered this a bit quickly, I guess. Didn't realize it was plastic. But I am pretty sure that, even if I knew it was plastic, I would not have expected it to be this cheap. We have since returned this product. Michaels sold us a fantastic fishbowl for about $35 I think. This Amazon one came in a box so light we thought for sure it was empty, then we opened it, and it was dented in on one side, and almost warped by heat or something on the other side, even though the amazon box was undamaged. So, yeah. I'll leave you to come to your own conclusions now. Gave it two stars because maybe it wasn't supposed to be as good of quality as we were expecting.

Anthony H.: Nice beautiful fishbowl... that had one small dimple and a few scratches. But I just turned the bowl so you can't see any of that and really quite pleased with the purchase. It's large enough to put a living aquatic plant in the bowl to keep the beta company.

V Cooper: I was under the impression that this was a glass fish bowl. Unfortunately I didn't read into the material as much as I should have. I do really like this bowl a lot because it does exactly what it should. The plastic is a little flimsy. I also am not a fan of the little bump in the middle of the bowl that sticks up. Other than that this is a great 20 gallon fish bowl!

SeamanSeaman: I like this product , I’m planning to move my shrimp from a gallon tank to a 3 gallon . It is a plastic but as u can see in the picture , it’s clear enough to see writing on the other side people will be amazed that it’s not glass. I was a little shocked how thin it was but certainly seems sturdy. I would still prefer glass but it gets a little pricy as size increases . This is a great Alternative. After rinsing I used a soft cloth easy peasy. The first tank I received was pretty beat up by the mail service ,! Contacted the seller immediately and I had brand new tank in 2 days & They said to keep the beat up one and I’m Going to use it as a hospital , for my fish & shrimp , sometimes they get sick and sometimes give birth.

Guillermo & Kayla: We bought this for our little betta since someone in his tank was picking on him. I love it! I have to skim the top every other day or so and it really prolongs how often you have to change the water. It stays clear for at least 2 weeks and hes happy as can be. My only complaint is how thin the bowl is. It's like paper thin and I really dont know long this will last with regular changes. But for the price, you really wont find any better.

Aditya Ahuja: Quality and shape are perfect, but however it is plastic.
I had hoped it to be a GLASS, but it is not.
Gets scratched very easily.
It's convenient because it's easy to handle and lightweight. It becomes hard with heavy water too, but do not expect this to be a replacement of the aquarium. The Fish and stuff inside looks bloated and not the accurate shape because of the glass reflection.
But I can really say, this is a good size for a betta fish, not others.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: The bowl arrived in good shape, though the plastic is thin, so I understand why some customers may have received bowls with dents. You could probably push them out though. I'm using this as a planted aquarium for pond snails that showed up in another tank, and so far I am beyond impressed. The plastic really is crystal clear, with excellent refractive properties. There is a *very* thin vertical seam on two sides, but it's really not visible unless your face is right up against it--which, I'll be honest, mine frequently is because I love this bowl so much. A large part of that is the setup I've managed to create with it, but that was only possible because this bowl did everything it was advertised to do. And unlike a glass 3-gallon bowl, I'm not at all worried about this bowl breaking.
