Tinkicker: My family lives in a rural area on old family land, surrounded by forests and hayfields. An allergy sufferer's nightmare. In addition, the hayfield next door provides us with a year-round endless supply of field mice, and even though over the years I've sealed pretty much any possible entrance point into the house, they sometimes find a way in.

So we have cats. We have five cats, two of which I know "work" on the mice, and two others I suspect do some half-hearted freelancing. The fifth one stays indoors because that's all he's ever known, and to be honest, we don't think he'd survive outside. He's Harry. Harry Pawter, if you must know, and he's the only one we've actually gone and picked out and brought home. The others are retired hobos, satisfied to be professional manipulators now until their alien kin call them back home to whatever planet they came from.

Max Fox: This is my first experience with a portable air purifier so can't really compare it too much with what else might be available. That said, I'm happy with this purchase so far as it met my price point, seems well made and I like the filter system.

We had a Honeywell whole house purifier that broke a few years ago. I've been waiting to replace that but really want to wait until I replace my AC and then will get a new air handler with purifier. Needless to say, that is a big investment. Since that system broke, dust has been more prevalent. I'm also a sinus sufferer and have issues with pollen, mold, you name it. And now that I'm inside my home more than ever, I'm more conscious of my homes air quality. I wanted to try one of these portable air purifiers to see if it would help but didn't really want to spend $400 to see if one worked for me. The Kokofit seemed worth a try based on reviews and price.
