cbuw7: I have bad hips. I bought this because I need help for a trip to South America (1 month). It worked great! Believe it or not, it is not that heavy.
I am going to use it again, because I am getting surgery in both hips. It is very easy to assemble and very sturdy. I highly recommend it!

LInda: My husband needed assistance getting off the toilet. Works well. He is a big guy.

The side anchors are good but it would work its way forward after a few days and not be as stable.
I added a strap around the front to anchor it close to toilet. (Wound strap on frame and secured around the back of toilet).

A.B.: this is pricy but i’m very happy with it. it looks nice and not as much like a hospital as some other designs in my opinion - blends in with our bathroom. i wanted something that still felt like a bathroom - it was easy to assemble and very sturdy. at the end of the day- you get what you pay for and althogh it would be great if this was cheaper. im just happy to have it and give this four stars. we are grateful for a sturdy device that is well made and works ! it’s only been a few days since installation but so far so good. there is adjustable way to raise or lower the hand bars so we’ll see how it goes - if we need to tweak it.

Belle VarneyBelle Varney: Very sturdy and the ability to change the height, width and height of arm rests is awesome! The only things that needs improvement are:
1) The number of holes drilled to raise/lower armrest is too few. The lowest height would be ideal when using a toilet seat riser but for normal toilet seat they are way too high. User has to drop quite a few inches below what is comfortable/easy. My husband drilled additional holes to achieve this height and it is now perfect.
2) The sliding armrest also needs more holes. There is only all the way forward and all the way back.
Otherwise, this one is a keeper. It doesn't wiggle or tip.

D. Snedeker: I bought this for my mother in law who stays with us sometimes for several months. I didn't want to install a permanent bar on the wall since each person's height is different.

It installed very easily. The directions were clear to follow.
My mother in law says it fits her needs perfect and stays in place. I have used it a couple times just to test it out, and it's rock solid.

Now keep in mind, how solid it is will also be determined by your hand strength and your ability to tighten the items down. If you have weak hand strength, find someone who will do that part for you.
