MPITA: This is a useful tool. Although I wish it was smaller to more easily fit in the case my Klein voltage meter came in... unlike cheap testers who's display always seems to face the wrong way to read when it's plugged in, with this unit you can pull out the tool after insering it to get a measurement and the display will remain lit and continue to show the data on screen after unplugging it.

Exsfcp: Put in all new GFI plugs throughout the house .. this was a perfect setup as I was doing this on my own ... the voltage testor is great and the extra tool came in very handy ... the testor with GFI testing was just what was needed.

Project Warrior: Great product. There are many variations of similar products which inform you whether or not an outlet is wired properly. However, the voltage readout is what makes this product far superior. I work in the Audio/Visual industry and this product provides great peace of mind knowing the voltage being supplied to my equipment. Taking a couple seconds to check power supplies will literally save you 10’s of thousands of dollars. It’s especially important at smaller events (when using a distro and running 2 gauge and 50amp is unnecessary added work and equipment to haul) to ensure the venue’s outlet are not only wired correctly, but also have the correct voltage. Even in your home electronics can easily be ruined by both over and under powering them. I also use this to test extension cords and surge protectors. I wouldn’t buy anything used with an outlet prior to testing it (RV’s, Campers, generators, etc.). Bottom line, very reasonably priced gadget for the potential headache and heartache it can save.

Nicholas McNeil: This product is great! Backlit screen is very easy to read, the bright red and green indicators mean you know what’s happening even if you don’t have perfect line of sight to the screen, and the memory hood function means you can still see all the information after removing the device from the socket!! Not 100% sure on the accuracy of the meter but so far it seems to be pretty good!

k9a7j7: Mine was defective but Amazon made it right. But when it works it gives voltage and tells if wired correctly so saves the step of checking with a separate multimeter unless there is an issue. Very useful tool to see if correct power and wiring. No need to remember what the lights mean because it spells it out for you.
