megan: Got the key programmed by the dealer. Worked great ... for about ten days. Now it is just a worthless piece of junk. So now I have to eat the cost of this key and the programming and buy one straight from the dealer.

J Feisty: Can't complain deal had to code it only because only had 1 original.... hence why I needed this, and even they were impressed at the quality. Not quite OEM but pretty darn close. Going it get a spare just in case since the price is not prohibitive of doing so.

SLJSLJ: Beware-only 90 day warranty and you won't find that information in the listing. If you click on warranty information it says to call the seller-that should be a RED FLAG as to how proud they are of that warranty. Product is made way cheaper than my original remotes and it keeps coming apart. It has split in half and fallen off the key chain and onto the ground so many times now that it doesn't work at all. Dummy me, I should have used duct tape to repair my brand new remote the first time it happened. I called the seller and they were less than helpful and told me to look at the listing and I would see their warranty info. I told him it does not list a warranty and it only says to call them. He said okay then, you just called me and I told you what it is-kind of a smartarse reply I thought. I told him I was going to write a complaint about not listing the warranty more openly if he didn't help me out and he said go ahead, so that is what I am doing. As you can see from the pictures the remote looks very well cared for, except it is in pieces.

The item was delivered within the time period advertised. It was quickly keyed to my vehicle by a local locksmith and works as well as the original key. The total cost was about half of
what the auto dealership charges.

flight50: I bought this back in Feb of this year and I am just now getting around to programming it myself. Worked like a charm on my 08 magnum. It took me two times but I misread the instructions upon inserting the second key. I removed it before the 10 sec mark. Inserted my new remote and left it in place for 10 secs as well just to be sure. Turned it off, removed, reinserted and wa la. She started. I inserted my other (2) keys and tested them just to be safe. No complaints here. Cheap duplicate without dealer interaction. If I get 4-5 years out of this key, it was well worth it.

GOOD NEWS: The replacement key works great once the dealership programmed it for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. I bought the truck used and only one key was provided. I took this replacement key to dealership to be programmed. It took 20 minutes and they charged $70 (technician had to use special machine and pull VIN data and other security codes in order to program). Once you have two working keys... then you can go to You*ube and find a procedure to program as many more keys as you would like yourself.
BAD NEWS: The battery compartment will not stay on by itself. I have wrapped the remote in tape in order to remedy this flaw. This is not a "like-for-like" replacement for the original. It is a suitable replacement that meets the basic functions of locking, unlocking, panic, and ignition starting the vehicle. If you go into the purchase with this in mind you will probably not be disappointed.

Niglin Black: Shipping was a joke, with the small/flimsy packet - void of any packing materials, I'm surprised this small electronic part was toast by the time I rec'd it. Other than that the FOB is durable enough, close to OEM quality, except it's missing the trunk label for some reason, although the button itself will work the same as the original (for opening the trunk). Overall I'm satisfied, and would buy again. Seller take note to ship the item a little more solidly to your customer(s) next time please.

Update: The key blank evidently has some minute difference in it from the 2008 original key blank. I had to first find a place with an old fashioned grinding wheel set up to even try to get a key cut. Then they warned me that it may not work because the keys were not lining up right on the wheel. A very experience gentleman did his best to cut the key. It looked like it should work but it definitely did not. I did not buy this for a key insert so I am not any less satisfied. But this is a bit of a difference with this product than the original.
Only had it a week, but it has worked flawlessly in that time. Seems as durable as the one I got from the dealer for $220.00. This is replacing one that was broken up and glued together badly, had no battery in it so it wouldn't lock and unlock the doors. Only key I had until visiting the dealer and I wasn't going to routinely carry around a $200.00 key and risk breaking it. Wish I would have checked here first. Literally took less than a minute to program the key. Three minutes counting walking to the vehicle and walking back inside. I am thrilled. Now I can open the door for my wife again without her waiting for...
