Get the best canister vacuum cleaner for your pet-friendly home today!Jeff Minten: The canister does not tow well, it does not want to pull straight, likes to shoot left or right. The extendable pipe is to bulky to fit and around under most furniture. On the plus side, the vacuum sucks well and the suction is easily adjustable, the power heads work well on floor and carpet.

Leslie Robert brown: Description of the condition of the second hand vacuum cleaner was honest and expected as I inspected the unit. Works perfectly.
Look out dust and cat hair.

Barb wadeBarb wade: Suction is awesome.. even on floor setting.. it pulled my area carpets off the floor! Very happy after only getting it yesterday… it stores nicely in corner of my office & is light enough for this senior to lift. Highly recommend Kenmore (we in Canada can’t buy at Sears stores anymore 🤨😡).. so glad Amazon had it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazon Customer: We don't have carpets, and we needed a simple vacuum to suck up the dirt, dust, dander. It is wonderful. It doesn't follow me with as much ease as I would like, but it is very lightweight and can be easily moved. I love the retractable wand! so much easier then having to remove one piece.
One could purchase a beater bar head if one wanted to, I guess. the electrical is there to accommodate it.

Stephanie17: I like how much lighter than my old Kenmore vacuum this is, which we bought to replace the one that finally died after 15 years. I wish the handle to drag it around was on the top rather than the bottom of the canister, it would be more convenient, since I try not to drag it by the hose. It works really well on my old worn carpet and somewhat refreshes the look as it fluffs it up a bit. It is annoying to have to drag it around, but the handheld section with the rotating brush glides really nicely across the floor as you push it easily. That part doesn't work so well on bare floors or linoleum, so it's necessary to switch out to the bare floor attachment to get it to work properly, and it's pretty impossible to use on carpeted stairs, so I still need a separate stick vacuum for those. Overall, pretty happy with the new model.

V: I was expecting a smaller vacuum, and yet this thing shows up and it's huge! However! It's not very heavy. I don't have trouble hauling it up and down the stairs, but it really was much more substantial than I'd pictured. In addition, the size of the hose/connections is larger than the standard, I think, and since it has an odd little bit for the electrical passthrough it doesn't play well with generic add ons. I got an adapter kit that had something that worked for me. Check for product dimensions, otherwise ask me a question and I'll measure mine.
Does it work? Oh yes. I have two dogs and a husband that abhors vacuuming. His space was covered with fur. This did a *super* job getting rid of the fur (and of course dirt etc). The attachments work like attachments should and store nicely. I can't help but feel the bag style is a waste of materials, as you basically fold the bag in half and attach it, so it only gets halfway full before the bag indicator lights up and you have to swap.
Works on hardwood and tall thick carpet with equal ease. It has variable suction so you can get deep down carpet clean or just enough to dust a shelf. Maneuverability? Well, let's just...

Sunflower girl: I wanted a bagged vacuum cleaner so I was delighted when I saw that Kenmores were offered for sale on Amazon (we don't have Kenmore brand in Canada any longer). I owned a bagged Kenmore for about 20 years and its plastic parts were breaking or falling apart, so I got a bagless Dyson. I could not wait to get rid of it and its never-ending cloud of dust when emptying the canister, so no more bagless vacuums for me and my allergies. However, I am not sure I have chosen the right model.
Pros:
- I wanted a vacuum cleaner that uses bags, so that is definitely a big plus in my books.
- Carpet brush with a separate motor, that is a must!
- The vacuum cleaner comes with only four brushes, which is all you need, actually. I hate it when I pay for 17 different brushes that I never use (my Dyson had a full box of useless brushes).
- The noise level is not too bad.
- Power switch button is on the handle, which makes it easy to turn on and off, without bending down.
Cons:
- Power switch button is on the handle, which makes it yet another thing that could (and probably will) malfunction and require replacement.
- Bags are great, but those bags are too big for...

Whidbey Mary: I had an upright Electrolux that was the best vacuum I have ever had in over 55 years of vacuum cleaner owning. But all good things come to an end and Electrolux no longer makes that vacuum and there are no longer replacement parts available. I was almost heartbroken. Well, 4 months and 5 vacuum cleaners later, I finally found one I like just as much. (I went through a Dyson, Hoover, Shark, Riccar, and a no-name brand, These ranged in price from $200 to $1,300. Some were junk and some were simply disappointing. Cost played no part in how I felt about them.) After so many failures, I decided to try this Kenmore 600 cannister. By this time, I had learned to photograph each step of unpacking the vacuums so I'd know how to put the pieces back in the box for return shipment. We'll, I'm happy to announce that the box for this Kenmore 600 went into the recycling bin last week!!!
PROS:
1. EXCELLENT SUCTION POWER. Sucks dog hair which is several inches away from the brush head both in front and on the sides.
2. On board storage of most used accessory tools.
3. Retractable cord.
4. Rotary brush that works on both hard and soft floors. Brush rotation can be stopped if...

TM: I got a steal on this item. It was listed as 'used-acceptable' but after some internet sleuthing, I discovered it was more than likely brand new and just without the original packaging. True to life it showed up tonight and I could not be happier. Brand new! Only 1 minor scratch on the base unit itself.
I currently have a Panasonic cannister vac, which I bought when I learned Kenmore's were being manufactured by them. Then I did more research recently and found Kenmore's were back on the top of the list for great vacs by another manufacturer.
End result, this unit is spectacular. Has a sort of self-propelled motion going on with the powered motor head and superb suction. Did not include a bag (which it should have), but since my Panasonic is the same one, i had one on hand.
The Pet Mate powered brush was one of the selling points for me....even though my dog does not shed, I envisioned (and it works perfectly) using it for the carpeted stairs. BONUS!
I highly recommend this unit if you are in the market for a new vacuum. Uprights and bagless and just so heavy and gross to clean out. (yes, i currently have 3 that I am selling).
