Jack: I can’t believe how hard it’s become to find a simple plan Jane circuit tester that’s decently built. They all have red lights and green lights, digital readouts, or they’re cheap junk that falls apart at the first sign of electrical current.
I’m happy to have found this, exactly what I was looking for, well built, sturdy. Circuit has power it lights up, no power no light, simple.
The one thing that’s not a negative but was unexpected was how long this thing is. From the end of the handle to the tip is like 12 inches, maybe it said that in the listing and I just didn’t see or didn’t pay attention but that was a surprise. And the probe is that lone and bare metal so you may need to wrap part of the shaft with tape to keep from accidentally grounding out on something if you’re working in tight spaces.
