JV379JV379: Sz 4000 worth every penny. I have nothing bud to say about this product. I needed something heavy duty but lightweight for Salmon fishing up in Pulaski and this reel held up great. Smooth casting decent size and one can tell it was made well. I’m looking forward to next years run.

MTC3: My Daiwa 2500 BG was damaged and needed to be replaced. Rather than spend 100.00 plus dollars for a new Daiwa reel I thought I would give KastKing a try at more than half the price of a Daiwa. I have already landed multiple Redfish and Sheepshead with the new KastKing reel and have found it to be as good as the Daiwa it replaced. The build quality seems solid. Casting and retrieving are great and reel is a good weight - light. The only thing I do wish is that it came with the T-Handle that is on the KastKing Sharky III bait feeder. I like the t-handle which is what i had on the Daiwa 2500. All in all a great reel for the money.

AlexAlex: I had a cheap reel that broke when I was pulling my second fish. I needed a new one that could handle salmon. I got this one based on reviews + great price. It is an amazing reel. Drag is sufficient to pull big fish. I was fishing from a bridge and was able to pull the fish from the water onto the bridge with no issues. Totally recommend

David M Herman: I love to go fishing. As much as i love it I have to keep things on a tight budget. My references are mid to lower end Shimano and Abu Garcia. I value reliability and smoothness. The KastKing Sharky 3 fits the bill quite nicely. It is as smooth as any reel I've ever tried. No wobble or gear grinding . The ten ball bearings no doubt help with that.
It looks expensive (really the fish won't care) and has the feel of a premium product.It has many nice touches, carbon fibre washers for the drag, braid ready aluminum spool, larger than average bail.
To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I bought this as a Christmas present for my nephew and after trying it out I found my self wishing I had kept it.
When one of my other reels needs replacing I know what I'm shopping for.

Andrew Dinh: Just tried out the reel this past weekend. Reeled in a bunch of springs salmon with no problem. Not too bad for a little reel (3000). For the price, this is definitely a great reel to have.
