Knoxdrk: This is the sweetest reel for the money that I have found in over 50 years of fishing. Easy to fine tune both the main reel tension and the magnetic anti backlash. I have never casted farther with any other “expensive” reel and believe me I’ve used quite a few. Bought three more KastKing models and love every one of them whether I’m using mono or braid 6’ or 7.5’ rods. They all perform great.

Action JacksonAction Jackson: Love this reel to DEATH! Matches my browning Medallion EX Heavy flipping stick perfectly. Reel is Super fast for horsing big fish. Makes it easy to turn a pig. Caught many 5lb+ bass all over CA, untill one day at pond near me, in a corner I know a 8+pounder haunts (I've lost her before), I pitch a jig into that corner during the weediest time of the year, (September).... She hits for the second time in 3 months and as I'm skiing her over the weeds bordering her pocket handle knob snaps off in my hand... She digs down into the weeds and as I grab my other knob to start reeling again I feel... She's come unbuttoned ten feet away from me. I reel in my jig and the clump of weeds she used to free herself, lick my wounds, sleeve my lure and proceed to KILL the dinks drop-shotting. A month later I go back and she swirls on a fluke but doesn't commit. Thats the last I've seen of her. We would've met and I wouldve easily broken my PB by 2+lbs if the knob wouldnt have snapped. All fish in the photo are between 3-6lbs and caught on the Royale Legend Elite 8:1:1 Red right retrieve. Get one! (But check your knobs from time to time).

Bradley Gemmill: Amazing reel for the money! This is the second baitcaster I've owned, my first was a Shakespeare Agility I got for $30 at walmart. It was a decent baitcaster to start out on and get the hang of, but I almost think this one would have been better to start with. With the Shakespeare I had to use heavy baits, anything too light would give me a backlash almost every time. With this reel though, it's so smooth and the brakes are so much better, I have much more control and with quick and easy adjustments I can cast the lightest baits I have with no problems. And this thing casts miles. I have the reel just about full of line (granted it's cheap and pretty thick braid, upgrading that in a few days) but I can almost cast far enough to run out of line with heavier baits. I've taken this reel out several times so far and I have no complaints at all. If you're looking for a quality baitcaster but don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks, get this one, you won't be disappointed.

Jake: I purchased this reel as my first real bait caster. I had an old one from Bass Pro Shops that I received as a gift while in high school, but I could never figure out how to use it without getting bird nests every time. Well, fast forward 10 years and I started getting back into fishing again and finally learned how to use it. I quickly realized I needed to update my rod and reel, so I did a ton of research and decided to go with this KastKing Royale Legend Elite 7.3 (left handed). It's been about 6 months since I pulled the trigger and I have used this reel roughly once or twice a week. So far, it has held up great and I would absolutely recommend it to any beginners out there or folks that are on a budget. The reel is very easy to dial in and the smoothness and casting distance is excellent for the price. I love not having to open up the side plate to adjust the magnetic brakes too. I usually keep them set at 4 or 5 depending on the conditions and lures I'm throwing. Speaking of lures, this reel can easily throw your lighter soft plastics (I like to use 1/8th ounce tungsten weights with a craw or creature bait or weightless senkos), but I've also thrown 2.5oz Huddleston swimbaits...
