Mary Ellen: This looks attractive and presses well due to weight but it is almost impossible to clean. The groves are not necessary, and though the piece is attractive, it's not worth the time it takes to clean it. I threw it out

Luis: If You are looking for a press for sandwiches this item gets the job done done it was a real heavy press when used it at home it left my sandwich as if I pressed it on a industrial press. But the only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 is because it rusted and fairly easy if u clean it or liquid fall on it make sure You dry it as soon as possible bc it rust quickly but other than that a good product.

This is a very high quality press. Cast iron is heavy duty, as is the handle and hardware. I like that the handle is made of metal, so it’s easy to clean. It comes pre-seasoned and ready to use.
I’ve seen some feedback complaining of rust in the corners. Rust will happen to ALL cast iron if not properly cleaned and cared for. Rust in the corners isn’t the fault of the product, it’s a result of short-cutting the cleaning process.
Highly recommend and will not hesitate to gift these to my grilling/cooking enthusiasts friends.

LynneLynne: I absolutely love this cast iron press. I love the weight of the cast iron. I love the size of it, and I love quality of this product. It works well in my cast iron frying pans, on the BBQ, and on the campsite fire pit.
As far as cleaning it, I had seen that other purchasers had complained that the top was getting rusty after washing. It's "Cast Iron" people!!! If you're going to get it wet you have to sit it on an element to dry it out completely and immediately or it is going to rust. I give this purchase 5 stars
