Bob Jones: After testing all the features, I'm very impressed with this emergency radio. I charged it for four hours in the sun and that allowed radio power at low (listenable at 2') volume for 30 minutes. I did 130 cranks and that gave me 5 minutes of radio. 250 cranks gave 10 minutes. About half as long at "normal" (listenable at 15') volume.

Charging it on USB ran the radio for hours on battery power at normal volume until I finally shut it off. Power goes off in my area several times each year, so I'll keep it charged up to save phone battery for calls/text, or if cell towers go down.

Amazon Customer: Well, I am shocked! This little radio is so much more than I expected. My old crank radio was a nightmare, so it was ready to be replaced. This was a great replacement! Right out of the box, weather radio loud and clear. FM stations loud and clear. AM stations a little iffy, but that’s usually the way. The flashlight lit up my entire living room wall!!!!! It’s evening here so I’ll have to wait for daybreak to try out the solar charger. The antenna is sturdy and telescopes over a foot. The unit is sturdy and surprisingly solid for the price. The face is exactly the size of my iPhone. It’s about an inch and a half thick. Nice carry strap and carabiner included. Even has an included charging tip for an iPhone. Little booklet indicates there is a full 12 month warranty. I do not hesitate to recommend this radio. One of my better purchases. Wish I could give it more stars.

I have it in my kitchen at night with the motion detector so if I need something quickly I can just go in there and it lights up enough for me to get what I want. I look for something in my closet, I hang this thing on a hanger with the clip it comes with, and I can see inside my boxes. I want to listen to the radio, it does that. I need a charge I just plug something in and it will charge it.

The flashlight is one of the best flashlights that I own. I like how there is a focused beam, as well as the area lighting it does. The light is very bright, and I can light up a whole room with it. The reading light is the only light that will work with the motion sensor, but it's bright enough. I can definitely read in the light that it gives off. In some cases it's too bright, so I cover the light with a piece of paper.

It's exactly what's advertised. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to be prepared, or who needs a flashlight. Most people already have a radio, maybe not battery powered, but whatever.
