Sydney E. Porter: Decent light for the price. The memory settings don't seem to work, but the 24 hour setting is nice, and you have endless options to customize the color if you prefer... which again would be a much nicer feature if the memory buttons worked consistently, and could totally be user error :) time will tell how effective this light is on plants, but so far so good!

Nikki: This is a great light, it has some super cool weather modes which mimic the real outdoors. The only unfortunate thing is that it never truly shuts off. At night, it goes to a dim blue color. I’ve had this light for a while now, and I’m noticing that it being on 24/7 is not good for my plants. I’ve since learned that plants need some dark time in order to replenish co2 levels. This light sadly does not have any sort of timer that I can find, or any setting where it shuts itself off. The remote has also declined over time and most of the buttons no longer work.

TeeJay7: Ok, where do I start? My impression of this light is basically good. The design of it, it looks nice on my new rimless 17 gallon tank. The arm bends smoothly and the light itself seems well constructed. The body of the light is super slim. It attaches to the glass of the tank securely. One of the screws seems to be sort of wobbly as it screws thru the hole in the flange but it holds fine when screwed in all the way. There is an on/off on the back of the unit, on a control on the cord, and also on the remote. The switch on the unit has to be on for the other on/offs to work. The control on the cord also has the 4 light modes you can go thru; cloudy, thunder, sunny and moonlight. These are also on the remote with other options; Max which is basically the sunny selection of the 4 light modes, the 24/7 mode and then there are the color controls for your own color creations. You can save 4 of them.
The directions are pretty bad, like yeah probably the worst translation from Chinese to English. This is especially challenging with trying figure out the color buttons, like I think I know what they are getting at, sort of?... Anyway I can make the color buttons work for me, it helps to...
