iProven Basal Body Thermometer BBT-113Ai - Accurate Temperature Tracking for Fertility & Ovulation Monitoring

Mimi: I purchased this to track my ovulation before we decided to get pregnant. It works very well, obviously, because I got pregnant on the first try after tracking my temperature every day for three months. However, that being said, when you're half asleep and trying to take your temperature every morning in the dark before you get out of bed, this wasn't exactly the best and most user friendly thermometer. It takes quite a long time to get the final reading. Maybe it isn't THAT long in real life but in groggy, 5AM wakeup time, it seemed like forever. Also, you're probably doing this in the dark to not disturb your partner/fry your sensitive eyeballs out like I did, so this doesn't glow and is really tough to read. I basically tried to hold it up in the glow of my cell phone to get the reading. Again, it works, it's doable, but maybe spend a few bucks more to get one that's faster and glows in the dark.

addietheroughcollie: This thermometer is easy to use and a good value. If you spend a lot more you can get the convenience of blutetooth but it is really not all that hard to copy your temperatures into a tracking chart manually. To me the price for a highly accurate thermometer is a great value even though there are more convenient tracking thermometers on the market. The only thing I wish it had was a backlit LCD as I had to turn on a flashlight to read the thermometer in the morning. Additionally, the instructions say to not drop it as it doesn't have shock protection. I'm a little concerned about bumping it off my nightstand and have been looking for a hard case to fit it to try and protect from that. I've only used it a few days so far but overall am happy with it. I have thyroid issues, so I am currently using it to help track my body temperature for that purpose.

Lauren: Cons: “3 soft beeps” my foot!! The beeping is JUST AS LOUD as the drug store brands I have owned- but there are only 3- so that beats out the other brands that go 6-12 beeps. My hubby is a light to normal sleeper and sometimes he wakes up and sometimes not. It’s as loud as my 3 others, so don’t believe the “soft/quiet” claims.

Pros:
- it’s accurate- very accurate! It doesn’t have a “fave temp” and my daily temps now range between .00-.07 instead of the “exact on the nose” temps my other ones liked to get “stuck” on.
- It doesn’t take too long- maybe 20-40 seconds- it did take up to a minute once, but that’s when I had left it in front of an open (cold) window and I think it just needed to warm up a bit. I’m happy with the speed.
-It does have a recall button which is handy- I occasionally fall back asleep and can’t remember my exact number and have used it a few times.
- it’s not back lit- but I don’t find this a flaw. I sleep next to a window so I tug the curtain a tad and read the temp. If you need a back lit one- this isn’t it.
- it’s digital numbers are twice the size of the others I’ve owned- think 16 pt font...

Jewels: The color is lovely, not that color matters, but it's just nice not to have something cheesy or obnoxious.
Comes with a one year warranty, easy to clean, and best yet water proof.
I haven't had any issues with mine, I appreciate the soft beeps of when it's finished taking my temp so I don't wake my partner, and I deeply appreciate the large numbers that are easy to read. Let's face it, the last thing you want or need is to be struggling with seeing since you barely just woke up.
The case it comes in is super sturdy. My partner and I just moved and I'm happy to report that it survive the chaos that is my purse, and being dropped more than a few times...
iProvèn really seems to care about your family planning as this product even advertises their free downloadable and printable BBT chart to help you keep track.
Overall i would highly recommend this to anyone who is planning on being in the family way.

Katie G.: So far, this thermometer is perfect for what I need. I’ve dealt with fertility issues for 5 years. My husband and I took a break for a while and we’ve recently decided to go see another fertility specialist. In order to “prepare” for my appointment, I wanted to get all my ducks in a row, and this BBT is helping with that. I’ve never temped before, and this makes it so easy. It’s quick and the soft beeps to let me know it’s finished are perfect.
The thermometer doesn’t have a backlight, which I knew when I purchased. This doesn’t take away from the product though and what I ultimately need it for. No backlight, no problem. I take my temp at 6:30 AM every day and don’t actually read my temp until I record it in my fertility app around 7:30 AM. So the memory is a perfect feature!

Overall, I really like this BBT and am happy to recommend.
