Amazon Customer: I liked its simple design and potential ease of repair. The negative lead cable is soft, the clamp seems solid. The positive pin with the handle seems robust. The handle seems friendly to holding it, however, it seems to be made of brittle plastic. So unless you step or drop a sledge hammer on it, nothing in it I don't like or won't be able to repair. This means I can keep it, and it'll work for a long time. Hence, the rating.
Those more technically inclined, read on to learn about more detail.
First thing I noticed, the logic seemed wrong to me. Because its a car tester, the only voltage I'll be looking for in a modern car, is a 'positive' and I never should experience a 'negative'. If I ring a circuit and I found 'positive', its good, hence - show me 'green'. And if I reversed the polarity of tester leads, that's an error, show me 'red'.
In the unit I received, the logic was opposite of this. So I thought, is it easy to open the case and to correct this? Yes, extremely so. The case is held together by one screw and a wedge. I had to machine about ~0.5 mm off the wedge to make it slide in and out smoothly.
The internal circuit consists of two parallel branches with a...

T-Mo: It does the job as described. Would be nicer if the cord was longer. A little overpriced.

Albert W.: This was recommended by someone who was doing an alarm install on a car and don’t recall who but it definitely fits the bill for that. With newer cars you can’t use a regular test light. The red or green makes it foolproof and being that ya can just plug it in to the cigarette lighter and start probing is awesome. Saved hours of aggravation for me and worth every penny.

D. Berube: To start with don't buy this test light expecting it to be the only test light you'll ever need. While this light is very handy for quickly confirming the presence of power and/or ground with no need to switch your lead around like on conventional test lights, it also draws essentially nothing current wise. So as long as 1 strand in a wire has continuity, this light will say power or ground is present, even though a wire may not be able to carry enough current to actually run a component (something a traditional style tester can do since the incandescent bulb does create a known draw).

That said for quickly checking a fuse box it's hard to beat this test light since you can even plug it straight into a 12V outlet to verify interior fuses quickly. For everything else, as long as you keep it's limitations in mind, it's an excellent addition to your diagnostic arsenal. After buying mine, this tester impressed one of my coworkers enough to purchase one for himself since it's fairly inexpensive compared to some of the testers out on the market from big name brands.

Andy M.: Issue is that light is a little hard to see in full daytime, otherwise, the product works well and the heavy-duty clamp + wire makes it really easy to attach to a ground to test!

Pontisteve: Just got this Innova 3410 LED test light in, and tried it out. It's a solid clear plastic body, that's 2 pieces pressed together. This leaves a seam and also there is a bit of dotted design graphics for the first 1.5", between the board and the angled handle piece. This graphic design makes it hard to see into the test light, which slightly helps to obscure one LED bulb. The graphic design is actually dimples in the plastic designed to make the handle a little less slippery to hold.

The two bulbs are red and green, and are in two different locations on the board. The clear plastic body has a 45 degree flare on it to put your fingers up against. I personally don't like that, because it forces you to hold the test light in one position in your hand. What I do like is that the plastic body continues down the stainless shaft over half way. So instead of having heat shrink to prevent sideways contact with something on accident, these guys have just extended the plastic body down over half the shaft. That's kind of clever. The red LED is too far forward, making it somewhat harder to see than the green LED.

If you hook the light to battery negative and touch 12v, the RED...

Homer: Perfect, Easy to use.
I had two wire off my vehicle an needed to isolate the "hot" and ground. The tip pierced the covering and I grounded the clamp on a nearby bolt on the mainframe.

The light turned red when it hit the correct wire bundle.

Then, I opened the power, "hot" wire, put the clamp on, and pierced the other wire. The handle glowed green.

So, easy to identify the power and ground.

This is only for a DC connection, but works great for my truck.

Simple, easy to use, and well worth the money
