Lucas Cameron: The adapter works well. My PC is 50 feet +2 walls + one room away from my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router. My internet service is 100 Mbps and I'm getting about 40 - 60 Mbps with this adapter which I think is great. However the main focus of my review is about their great customer service support.
I really appreciate great customer service support (worked in the industry for 12 years) and Inamax has really awesome customer service !!!!
This is my experience with the wifi adapter and Inamax customer support.
The wifi adapter was easy to install and worked flawlessly for about a month. Then it started disconnecting whenever I tried to connect to the Internet. I'm not an IT pro but am computer savy enough to try a few things like, uninstall/reinstall the hardware device, drivers, do a system restore., etc. I have other devices including another computer using wifi that had no issues with the wifi network so I ruled that out. I then took another older wifi adapter from one of my other PC and installed it on the PC with the disconnect issues and the old adapter did not have any disconnection problems. KBChicago: Now that the Inamax WiFi adapater is up and running, the use of 5G is awesome and so much faster.
To get to this point- Amy of Inamax customer service, helped me tremendously. First, it helped to use Google's search engine and I downloaded the zip file easily. I was experiencing issues getting the driver to download as I wasn't following directions to a T. Any walked me through the process and all worked out quickly from there.
Some of her directions may help you too:
Open this link in browser (this is the link you'll see on amazon start up directions page).
You will see three files. Don't double-click the file directly.
You have to download the driver firstly ,then install it.
Please place mouse pointer over the file named "Windows_driver". You will see a downloaded icon. Click it, you will download the driver.
It's a compressed file you downloaded, don't double-click the file to EXTRACT it.
That's not right. If you double-click it, and it will say "Sorry!, We do not support this operating system !!"

Shannon Burgess: I needed this adapter since the wireless usb adapter for my computer went out and I was not able to connect to the internet. There were other wireless adapters more expensive, but I chose to go with this one and see how it worked. So far it's been working perfectly! Really better than expected for the price. It was very easy to setup. It comes with a CD with the driver but if you’re not able to install by CD you can download the install driver/software from another PC and put it on a flash drive and install from that. Once we did that the process was smooth and the adapter works flawlessly. I also get great range and excellent speed. Definitely worth the buy.

If you play games and are planning to use this, don't. You're better off just biting the bullet and using a wired connection or spending a little more for a better product. Constant ping spikes and connection problems mean you'll be in and out of your games and 'lagging' pretty consistently. This could be server issues, true, but when it happens across all games and you randomly get disconnected from them entirely, it becomes more than a server issue. (Also, getting disconnected from the wifi even though my other devices are still connected and working fine is a problem beyond server issues.)
