The issues are it's expensive for what feels very very cheap, the dvd is ancient, probably made in the 90s and never updated. They should lower the price, make a new video and provide a link or QR code

Logan: Used to be a solid 90+ golfer / aka Bogey golf, started use this to start to get a more consistent swing path and low-and-behold I'm hitting my irons better, my drivers better and the putts still aren't dropping. I've used this every second day just to eliminate the previous swing thoughts in my head and it's starting to work. I've had some great rounds and some mediocre rounds, but in all I'm striking the ball better during full swings and I'm more consistently not flubbing the ball. This tool has helped me greatly. The DVD very simply explains everything about a golf swing. I've shot my lowest round ever this summer and I'll be using this throughout the summer and the winter to finally forget my old swing. I have it attached to an old club that's on the outside of my bag so if I feel like my old swing is coming back, I use it during the round to remember the new swing. I know it's cheating, but i'll never make it into the PGA and I'm ok with that. I feel like it's possible to shoot under 80 with this tool. William Amerman: I've been playing golf seriously for twelve years. During this time I've tinkered with my swing more times than I should have, but this experimentation (as well as 50+ lessons) has given me some insight into the golf swing. My lowest index was 3.2 a few years back and currently it's 9.6.

As for my Amazon rating, the reason for four stars instead of five is because of the poor documentation that does not cover what I'm about to go over here. The product itself is worthy of 5 stars and the impact it can have on your game is probably worth at least twenty lessons. $60/lesson * 20 = $1,200 of value. So . . . what does the documentation not tell you?

First, your grip. Many golfers who take lessons are taught to strengthen their grip by rotating the left hand clockwise as it holds the club. The feeling of this grip is that the left hand is more on top of the club and the right hand is more underneath the club. This position works for me, feeling more powerful at the release.

Chris Downing: I know there are knock-off versions of this but I wanted to support the inventor AND my experience of friends buying clone stuff has taught me that yopu pretty much get what you pay for. The Swingyde comes withe instructions on a couple of sheets, a 30 minute DVD showing all sorts of drills and how it works, an study elastic band to get you started by wrapping the band round your left wrist and the Swingyde, and a sweat band for your wrist in case you find the band chafes a little. So a nice little set of complimentary teaching add ons you don't get with the clones.

I was reading Jim Waldron's book on swing techniques and drills based on his swing drills and his ideas about how the swing is an allusion of swinging arms rather than the truth of arms in front, side, of the chest and the arms and wrists just move up and down. The Swingyde is perfect for practicing these drills and it has greatly improved my ball striking and accuracy as I am managing to start to eliminate some habits ingrained over twenty years of 18 h/c golf.

The dude: I have attempted to play the puzzling game of golf since 2007 with very inconsistent results. I have experienced moments of triumph and bouts of pure agony. I am not un-athletic and have above average hand/eye coordination. My results on the course however have been very inconsistent in spite of my efforts. I have read books, bought training aides, and taken lessons. I play better than my friends who play less than me but I was still terrible. I went out to a local par 3 a few weeks ago and I was shanking the ball on every shot which even for me was disheartening. My plan was to put my clubs down and not touch them for 6 months, then sell them. I hate to say it.. but I was about to quit.
