GaryKintheOC: I sprained my right ankle twice last year and didn't rehab it correctly. So this spring I've been really challenged to play sports. When I went in to PT I use the big blue 1/2 ball thing and it really helped. I checked them out online and they're like $80 bucks and take up a bunch of space. This thing works great, I still get a good workout for the ankle and it's $20 and little. What's not to like?

catraveler: Took some careful positioning of the inflation needle to work, and quite a bit of pumping to get the required firmness. Makes a good combination to the foam pad for balance training.

BABJ: My child uses this product at physical therapy to help with muscle tone, balance, stability, and gravitational issues. I saw that this seller had several colors for $20 or less, and decided it would also be great for providing him with proprioceptive input at home for his sensory seeking needs. He stands on it during chest level learning activities, sometimes when eating or reading, and he sits on it to read or play with toys on the floor. I have also started using it to increase my own balance and core strength. This item will challenge your body for sure! Expect to feel it in your hips and thighs, and understand that yoga on it is more advanced! I honestly can not think of many $20 fitness items that provide this variety of balance, strengthening, and sensory benefits... but it is difficult so definitely check with your physical therapist and/or physician to decide if it is right for you. Easy to inflate, easy to figure out how to use. Probably some of the best $20 I have spent on an item that literally everyone in my family is using.

Bob: I used this as a cushion for my sciatica when it flared up. Sitting on my computer chair was very uncomfortable as the pain was hard to deal with in my lower back and glute. I could pivot and reduce pressure on the sore side to give me some relief. Nice thing is you can adjust the pressure by pumping up with more or less air to find the sweet spot.
